Solid Little Computer

I love this thing! I take it everywhere. Touchpad is a bit strange. There is no frame for it so it can be difficult to know when your finger has moved past it. That said, I found I got used to it fairly quickly.

Excellent Function key shortcuts including disabling the touchpad ; Amazingly bright screen ; Keyboard is very nice--keys are a good size ; Windows 7 Starter is a lot nicer than I thought it would be. Can't change the background, but I don't really...

Power button is in kind of a weird spot ; Came preloaded with a bunch of stupid WildTangent games ; Speakers are on the bottom. This would be a problem if I planned on using them

Perfect Upgrade

I was really considering getting an MSI netbook. Most specs are the same for netbooks, but since this had the multigesture, touchpad, built-in webcam and microphone, it became slightly ahead of the competition. It was

Keyboard was pretty was pretty easy to get used to. The gesture controls are pretty handy but may take some practice. The battery life is amazing. Lightweight. Quiet. Doesn't get hot

Bloatware. I'm not really sure how to backup drivers and such because it's not working with my WD external hardrive. Windows 7 Starter (used Oceanis to be able to do a simple task such as changing the backround

Ram update caution

This is a great little machine. The small keyboard is unavoidable I think with the netbooks so I didn't take an egg away for that. I am actually getting used to typing on it. The one-egg deduction was for making me spend two weeks trying to upgrade the...

beautiful sharp screen ; six cell battery = 8 hours of battery life

small keyboard ; mislabeled or misleading ram specs

Good netbook

Some windows assume a taller screen, but auto-hiding the task bar helps. Recommend upgrading to 2GB immediately, but there's only one slot requiring replacement of the provided 1GB PC2-5300 DO-SIMM with a 2GB one. It would be nice if this was offered...

Fast, compact, light, good battery life. I'd buy it again

1GB memory, low screen resolution

Not a Supercomputer

This is a great option if all you need in a computer are portability, long battery life, and internet access.

Runs well considering the limitations. Your not going to able to run any high or mid end games off of it, but it is after all a netbook ; The battery is great, I can work online and through remote desktop for 8-8 1/2 hours getting everything that I...

It's not a supercomputer! It won't run high-intensive programs, and doesn't have a CD drive

Good Value

Would recommend

Nice netbook ; Runs well with the one gig of ram ; Gateway specs say the system only supports 1 gig of ram. This system will actually take 2 gig. Check Corsairs site ; Nice bright screen

MOOOOOOOO!!!!!

If you are a road warrior, student or just want a small laptop but don't want to sacrifice power...this is your laptop. I've owned HP, Dell, ASUS, ACER and Toshiba. This is my first Gateway. I'm a believer. With the warranties at just about parity, its...

EXTREMELY light ; Great Ergo ; MUCH quieter than other netbooks (i've owned 4) ; The screen is amazing. The brightest I have ever seen on a netbook. Buries my EEE 1000HD I am retiring ; Quick and responsive - MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, MS...

Wish it had higher memory capacity ; Firewire would be great too ; Not ideal for gaming as the screen size obviously is limiting...AND you wouldn't want to run any crazy FPS or crazy 3D game son it ; Should have upgraded OS or a discounted online...

Rocks Socks!!!

For what it is, this little dude rocks. I recommend upgrading to 2 gigs of ram first and upgrading windows 7 to at least home premium (ultimate runs smooth with aero). I've had no problems out of this netbook at all... recommend to anyone wanting a...

portable (as in Ultra Portable) ; good battery ; stable

limited to 2Gb ram max
