Great Buy

I've got to say this is a pretty good deal. I paid over twice this much for my HP media center. Windows 7 is snappy, very fast.. Lots of great way to use it. I'm still getting used to it but I like it better than my old system.

The Beast of the East

Fast and fully functional right out of the box. Monster memory, Tactilitywise some getting used to. If my Compaq crapps out in the next 30 seconds, I know what I'll be ordering--AGAIN!!!!! Carl, keep the good stuff coming.

Good package but defective touchpad

Computer itself seems to be performing well, but the bottom 15% of the touchpad is completely inactive. Only 3 hours out of the box, and Gateway is arranging to send it away for 7 to 10 days for repair.
