Price, Speed, Windows 7 ; Found it to be a great little lap top, with no problems. Bought it Cyber Monday and it has been outstanding. Not a Techy but use it every day and never had a problem with it. Love how fast it is and that you can have multiply...

Awesome Laptop

Fast, smooth. Faster than my HP with a SSD drive. Sure the drive is not as faster but this computer seems smoother. Please it was 1/3 the price. Great buy for $399

Keys on keyboard are different. Not bad just different

Cheap, Powerful and Long Battery Life

This machine is perfect for someone that wants a reasonably priced machine that can be used for normal activities with a processor and memory to handle the occasional power needed. An Pentium can not handle the occasional power I felt like I needed....

I really love this laptop. I got it on Cyber Monday and I was a little worried about purchasing a Gateway but they have been owned by Acer for a longtime. Just like eMachines they just re-brand the machine ; First the specs speak for them self. Yes it...

This is not a gaming machine, but the value is high. I use to play games but haven't had the time since starting a new business. From what I have read the Intel video can handle a little game play at not terrible frame rate ; It does not have a USB 3...

Good Notebook

If you are looking for a good laptop and are not too worried about being able to run the latest graphic intensive games this machine is perfect. I looked everywhere and compared specs and the power of this machine is very difficult to match at the same...

This notebook worked right out of the box and didn't have too much junk loaded onto it. The junk that was there is easy to remove ; This is one of the fastest machines in this price range. I got mine on Cyber Monday for 399.00. Even at normal price I...

The pointer pad is a little odd to me. It shows the up down slider area but there is a left right slider area that doesn't have any marks to indicate where it is. Once I got used to it I found it to be fine though ; The keys on the keyboard are a...

Returned a HP Pavilion g6 (from Black Friday) to get this laptop

I think I made a great trade from the HP Pavilion g6 I bought on Black Friday to this Gateway NV57 :D - I would suggest uninstalling the preinstalled gateway graphics driver and installing the newest driver for the HD 3000 from Intel's website. If you...

Purchased on Monday (Cyber monday sale) and recieved the laptop on Wednesday. Out of the box, I inserted the battery; turned on perfect. After a few setup options for "first use" I was presented to the desktop ; Some bloatware is introduced (similar...

One thing that is an evidently noticable difference from HP pavilion g6 line and this Gateway laptop is the integrated sound. HP has brought SRS premium from Altec Lansing to their systems. This greatly improves its sound quality as pavilion is for...

Egads!

Ordered it late Monday night, got here early Wednesday. And of course, on that same day, I log onto the Egg to discover that the item's been "deactivated." Le sigh... Still, couldn't be happier with it (so far.) It's supposedly built by Acer,...

Works like a charm. Minimal bloat-ware. Good WEI scores (not that too many take those seriously, but still, they're decent). Secretly an Acer (made for Gateway) ; WEI numbers, fwiw: CPU 6.4, Mem 7.3, Aerographics 4.7, Gaming graphics 4.8, HDD 5.9

None yet, but I just got the thing today. Will update if Newegg restocks
