Slick style ; Very reasonable amount of power for work and video

Gateway NV59C09u

Comfortable keyboard; Blu-ray drive included; solid performance.

Battery life still below average; should really have Core i5 processor or larger hard drive at its price.

At less than $800, the redesigned Gateway NV59C09u is a solid large-screen laptop, but it's really just the better-value NV5933u in a more expensive coating.

The Gateway NV59C09u's Blu-ray drive is a very convincing feature, but be wary of its average parts and features.

Blu-ray drive included. Excellent keyboard. Numeric keypad present. Lightweight. Inexpensive. Two-year warranty.

Design is dated. Below-average performance.

I would have deducted one egg for Newegg not having a more transparent approach to their refurbished stock, but this review is about the laptop, not Newegg. It's worth the 5 stars, especially @ $449 + free shipping. If you want a cosmetically flawless...

Good deal Refurb

 

have bought refurbs before, from acer, have not been unpleasantly suprised, seems to be good value

Everything works, nice finish and feel, quick i3 response

price dropped 10 beans after bought, having difficulty burning back up disk, quites with write errors in middle of 3 disk burn, seems to be buggy acer software
