Aorus X7 Pro Notebook Review

Performance at all costs. Aorus is one of the first manufacturers to fuse two GeForce GTX 970M cards to an SLI array. Both the performance and the waste heat are correspondingly high. Can the slim 17-inch chassis deal with this load?

Up to three mSATA SSDs, Outstanding performance, High-quality materials, Backlit keyboard, Acceptable weight, Modern design, Practical tools, Thin casing, Matte screen, Macro hub

Extreme temperature & noise development, Wi-Fi range could be better, Production flaws (keyboard), Less than perfect interface distribution, Turbo Boost not maxed out, Power supply & cooling close to the limit, CPU throttling during full load, High...

"Uncompromising" - that could summarize the X7 Pro in one word. To stand out from the competition, Aorus installs two premium-range chips in a high-quality, yet not particularly well-built 17-inch casing that can only deal with the enormous cooling...

Aorus X7 Pro-Sync Review

Looks can be deceiving. At first glance, the Aorus X7 Pro-Sync laptop looks like it would be best suited to editing video or photos. And while this slim 17-incher could ably handle those tasks, it's a gaming notebook through and through, squeezing a...

Slim, attractive chassis; Kick-ass gaming performance; Stunning full HD display; Lightning fast transfer speeds; Solid overall performance

Loud fans; Runs hot when gaming; Fairly short battery life

Boasting two Nvidia GPUs and blistering SSDs, the Aorus X7 Pro-Sync is the ultimate portable gaming laptop.

Aorus X7 Pro review

A lean and mean beast of a gaming laptop

Incredibly thin for a fully-loaded system ; Record breaking performance ; Modern, cool style

Hard to click trackpad ; Tornado-producing fans ; Incredibly short battery life

The Aorus X7 Pro is an amazingly thin and light 17.3-inch gaming laptop that plays modern games with ease, but it suffers from some serious fan noise and heat issues.

Aorus X7 Pro v5 review - a 4K gaming monster

It's very expensive, but the Aorus X7 Pro v5 is a top of the range gaming laptop that doesn't pull its punches

Aorus X7 Pro-Sync Review

Aorus, the high-end brand created by Gigabyte, has put a lot of work into the X7 Pro-Sync and the result is an exceptionally slender laptop that packs a severe gaming punch. The chassis only measures 22.9mm thick at the widest point behind the lid...

GTX 970M SLI is great for Full HD gaming.

Under load X7 Pro-Sync is far too noisy.

While we admire Aorus X7 Pro-Sync for its performance and styling we cannot forgive the excessive noise from the cooling system. In extreme cases too, the CPU may throttle.

Review: Aorus X7 Pro-Sync

I t's possible to pick up a decent gaming laptop for around two grand these days, so when we saw this new 17 incher from Aorus cost twice that, we knew it was going to be packed to the gills with high-powered goodness. Closer examination revealed that...

"There’s no denying Aorus’ latest gaming laptop is fast, but the fan noise really is a major issue."

Aorus X7 Pro V3-CF1 Review

Aorus is a premium brand that has been developed by Gigabyte to deliver high end gaming products with a distinct leaning towards laptops rather than PCs. Currently the range consists of a handful of keyboards and backpacks, a mouse and mousepad and...

High performance.

Expensive.

The Aorus X7 Pro is a very powerful gaming laptop, but it is loud and the build quality isn’t quite there.

Gigabyte Aorus X7 Pro laptop review

The Gigabyte Aorus X7 Pro is aiming to replace your desktop PC by providing you with all the processing and graphics power of a full sized rig, but crammed into a laptop that measures up at just 22.9mm thick. Sure, it's a 17.3-inch behemoth, but could...

There's no doubt that the Gigabyte Aorus X7 Pro is a beast of a machine. With a 17.3-inch display, it's large enough to dwarf almost anything on your desk, and it weighs a hefty 3kg too. Despite its size, it's surprisingly thin for a gaming rig, but it...

While the Aorus X7 Pro chomps through games with ease, it's also mighty pricey. Depending on your configuration, you'll still end up spending nearly £2,000 on the X7 Pro, but that bags you plenty of horsepower that's sure to last

If you're after a larger than life desktop replacement laptop that can fire through all of your favourite games without breaking a sweat, Gigabyte's Aorus X7 Pro is well worth a look - just be prepared to give up plenty of desk space and dig deep into...

Failed GPU2 After 8 Months

Worked well for editing 4K footage. Fastest computer I've owned, for the first 8 months

Soldered, un-upgradable GPU. Though with such a thin form laptop I suppose it's a compromise. See below ; Flimsy-ish construction. The laptop appears bent from certain angles, and it does not appear to shut evenly ; QC is lacking. Two screws from the...

One GPU doesn't even work

I have tried everything I can think of. I updated the BIOS. I updated the graphics drivers. I reverted back to the old drivers. I looked at the device managers. I downloaded third party software (3DMark) to test it. 3DMark only saw one GPU. This is a...

Package came on time. Started up fine. Other than the GPU, everything works very well. Beautifully made

One of the GPU's does not work. I first blamed it on myself for doing things wrong, but I've went online to talk to experts. Contacted Computer King and even emailed Aorus. I spent money and took it to a professional tech expert. No one really knows...
