Gigabyte P35K review

A super-powerful 15.6in gaming laptop with lots of ports and a comfortable keyboard

With its powerful components and excellent keyboard, there’s no denying that the Gigabyte P35K is one of the most capable gaming laptops currently available. It’s a shame the screen doesn’t have slightly better contrast, but it outperforms its closest...

Gigabyte P35K-CF4 UltraBlade Review

The Gigabyte P35K UltraBlade is a sleek 15.6-inch laptop that measures a mere 21mm thick when the lid is closed. Open the lid and the main part of the chassis is less than 17mm thick which is pretty a...

Lovely IPS Full HD screen ; Slender chassis ; Impressive combination of Core i7 CPU, GTX 765M GPU and RAID 0 SSD ; Option of swapping the DVD drive for a SATA storage drive ; The backlit keyboard is easy to use in the dark ; excellent speakers

High price ; Excessive noise from the cooling fan ; Touch pad/mouse don’t offer enough control ; Heavier than I would hope – at 2.3kg ; Battery life is unimpressive

KitGuru says: Blazing Core i7 performance and a lovely IPS Full HD screen cannot make up for the noisy cooling and extremely high price.

Review: Gigabyte P35K

A wonderful form factor that suffers from the compromises made in pursuit of performance.

Ultimately this is a decent laptop for gamers, packing some very nice hardware. However the compromises made to keep this thin and light are, in our minds, too great to make this a standout product. The overall design has potential, but Gigabyte needs...

Great laptop

The laptop has great features being fast processor, high end graphics card, 1080P screen, 2 SSD's for fast performance and 1 TB HDD for storage. Backlit keyboard makes it easy to see in the dark. Easily adjustable volume and outputs for sound, video,...

The only con I've run into is the length of the battery. But that is due to the power behind the normal settings. If you turn off the graphics card and put the laptop into low power mode you can get about 4-5 hours out of the battery. THat isn't bad...

Excellent hardware with some build quality flaws

Overall, its a very solid machine for the money. I have read elsewhere that Gigabyte has some quality control issues. I have now experienced this first hand. My issue isn't hugely significant in terms of negatively impacting my usage experience, but...

Very fast machine, boots nice and quick thanks to the SSD. I haven't yet really put it through its paces, but StarCraft II runs very smoothly at max settings ; Screen has minimal glare and great contrast ; Backlit keyboard great for low-light settings...

Mine came with a slightly warped keyboard. It doesn't sit flush and there's a small bubble on the top left. Its too bad, because the rest of the machine looks great, very sleek. I am still considering whether I want to deal with RMAing it ; I am...

Awesome laptop

The laptop is really awesome, I've tried other high end laptops, like razer blades, MSI GS series, Lennovo Y series, and I wanna say that the Gigabyte P35k is just as good and better in some ways. the display is absoluely beautiful, nice build quality...

Decent laptop

Thin form factor with a 765M and I7. Sweet!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but considering how much research I did prior to buying this laptop, I figured I should give back. I heard that this laptop was loud and hot, but I also liked the form factor. My thoughts are below ; The laptop does get...

Laptop does get hot, but that's to be expected ; I don't really care for the keyboard (takes a little getting used to) and really don't care for the trackpad. I am spoiled from using a Macbook however. I also didn't buy the laptop to write a novel! :)
