For novices only.

Quality scans are possible.

Slow, atrocious software for those who care what their scans look like.

For novices only.

I just picked up a refurbished Scanjet 4300Cse from Fry's for $50. At this price, I expect fairly competent performance, especially from HP. In addition, I expect it to be easy to use. The HP does these things fairly well.

Quality scans are possible.

Slow, atrocious software for those who care what their scans look like.

Great Scanner for the $$$

You know how people always say 'you get what you pay for.' Well in this case not true. You get more out of this scanner than what you paid. First off the color is not bad, not the greatest but not bad. The text however, is excellent. What makes this...

Easy copying, easy to use, decent color and rich text.

A little bit bigger than I thought.

You could do worse!

Nice scans, easy installation, well made, comes with cables.

Huge, software could be better, no film scanner.

You could do worse!

OK, I admit it. One of my kids really needed a scanner for a school project and my old Logitech Page Scan Pro hasn't been working in a long time. So I went to the nearest place that sold scanners and bought the 4300CSE because they had it in stock -...
