Review HP 250 G2 (F0Z00EA) Notebook

Black, silent laptop. Another new office notebook in the hotly contested price segment around 400 Euros (~$555). Did HP manage to break the monotony and give its entry-level model a special touch or did we have to deal with the usual standard fare?

acceptable keyboard, indicator LEDs for radio modules, mute and CapsLock, almost silently, cool, no thermal problems despite passive cooling, Apart from the price, the best part of the HP 250 G2 is its nearly silent operation

cheap appearance, lid sensitive to fingerprints, ports placed very unfavorable, just fast enough for office, A maintenance hatch which covers more than the single RAM slot

Great value laptop on sale

At full price I don't think this is worth it, but for the sale price I was quite happy with this purchase. It's a budget-friendly machine with enough power to handle routine tasks (I don't do gaming or photo editing), and more than enough storage...

Nice size screen, love the numeric keypad, keys are responsive without being noisy, decent processor, and happy to find a 64-bit version of Windows 7 (not 8!) at this price

Machine looks cheap and plastic-y, battery life isn't great

It was ALMOST perfect...

Fast computer, liked how the keyboard felt, quiet, didn't get hot

Sent it back because after the second wave of Windows 7 updates the HDMI port stopped working. I researched it online and it had something to do with the graphics card. For me, who teaches online school to my daughter, that was a deal breaker. No fix...

Backward Step

Cheap for an i3 Laptop

Just to change out the hard drive takes the removal of 14 screws and 4 ribbon cables. Very poor design. I would have expected more from HP

Good value workhorse when on sale

These were a super value at 399.99 sale price. I'd think twice, though at regular price. I bought 5 of these for the office and all 5 got through the UEFI BIOS stress tests without errors. Very happy with them at the price I paid.

Excellent processor (Ivy Bridge i3 @ 2.4Ghz) and graphics (HD4000) for the money ; Hitachi 500GB hdd is one of the more reliable brands ; Win7 Pro OS is familiar, robust, and stable ; keyboard keys pop up from tight cutouts, leaving almost no room for...

Wimpy battery--40,596 mWh. Still gets 2.5-4 hours because of Ivy Bridge efficiency ; display quality isn't the best, but it's not bad

HP 250 G2 Notebook
