Review HP 550 Notebook

Low-Cost Notebook with pitfalls. 500,- Euro…too expensive? 400,-

Very low price; Relatively good display; Acceptable battery life; Adequate performance for office tasks; Many but relatively expensive upgrade options; Strong Linux compatibility

Case is not resistant to pressure; Poor processing unit; Actual weight exceeds manufacturer's claim by 120g; Loud fans; Interfaces are problematic; Problematic installation of the OS; Poor distribution of connections; Inadequate performance for...

For a little moe, there are already competitors equipped with dual-core CPU's. Otherwise the HP 550 competes with alternatives such as the Lenovo 3000 N200, the Acer Extensa 5220, 5230, Dell Vostro 860 or the MSI Megabook VR602.

HP 550 review

A comfortable laptop to use that offers a fair degree of use, at a great price

Easy to use ; Tough design ; Bright screen ; Low price

Poor quality keyboard ; Disappointing battery life

Appealing in spec and price, this is a great value laptop for users with more modest needs
