HP Compaq nx6325

It's not the speed demon we were hoping for, but the first dual-core AMD notebook is an attractive choice for business users on a budget.

Impressive multitasking performance • Good battery life • Fingerprint reader • Attractive price

Relatively slow productivity performance • Not a widescreen • No mobile broadband option

Cheap, dual-core, great battery life

Dull screen, needs more memory

At a shade over £700 this dual-core notebook packs a punch and offers a great battery life too
