HP EliteBook 2570p Review

The EliteBook 2570p doesn't offer cutting edge design but it does provide the dependability that enterprise businesses demand.

Extremely durable ; Nice keyboard ; Excellent battery life ; Great speakers

Thick and heavy compared to Ultrabooks ; Small touchpad ; Good, but not great performance

As we said at the beginning of our review, the HP EliteBook 2570p isn’t the newest or sexiest Windows PC, but it is an extremely appealing notebook for enterprise businesses with a large mobile workforce.

HP EliteBook 2570p Review

Upon first glance, you might think that the EliteBook 2570p came straight out of 2002, and while first opening it up to get a look at it, I thought I had mysteriously jumped through a time warp that took me back ten years and didn't even know it....

In the end, the EliteBook 2570p is a sturdy, well-built laptop that screams professionalism, and can prove itself out in the field. The Core i5 keeps the laptop humming along nicely, and while the integrated graphics aren’t anything too special, they...

Expert Review

Highly expandable, Flexible battery options, Great typing feel, Mobile broadband add-on

Mediocre display quality, Small touch pad and wonky keyboard layout, Pricey in BTO configurations

Against that, the display is only average and build-to-order configurations are costly. Corporate IT departments deploying a thousand units will love the EliteBook, but quantity-one entrepreneurs may want to compare it to another ultraportable with a...

Review: HP EliteBook 2570p

HP 2570p notebook aims to please business travelers

Solid construction ; Metal lid and chassis top ; Multitude of ports ; Decent performance

Thick ; Tiny trackpad ; Premium price

HP's EliteBook 2570p is the latest notebook in what the company describes as its business rugged category. The 12.5-inch model is designed to hold up to the moderate abuse while on the go, taking advantage of aluminum and magnesium to protect against

HP EliteBook 2570p

Although chunky, the impressive performance and flexibility of this 12.5-inch laptop would make the hardened business road warrior happy.

Fully featured business laptop ; Screen can be flipped to lie flat, parallel with body ; 3G capability ; Good battery life

Features necessitate a chunky design

The EliteBook 2570p may be chunky, but with good reason — the business market it's aimed at requires all the ports it can get, and a certain level of ruggedness. Add to this the impressive performance of the 12.5-inch laptop, and you have a laptop that...
