HP EliteBook 8460p

The HP EliteBook 8460p isn't the most portable business laptop, but it's one of the most solid choices both literally and figuratively.

Well-crafted, business-rugged construction. Nice keyboard.

No HDMI or WiDi. A bit bulky and heavy for a 14-inch laptop.

HP EliteBook 8460p

HP's new EliteBook line looks much like models in the older EliteBook line, such as the EliteBook 8440w we reviewed 15 months ago. Yes, the external skin offers a more pleasing brushed aluminum aesthetic, but it's still a little clunky looking. You...

Good control over security and power ; Matte LCD screen is pleasing

Industrial design is a little clunky ; Speaker quality is terrible

HP’s latest EliteBook 8460p won't win any awards for looks, but it does come with a good display and keyboard for road warriors.

HP EliteBook 8460p Notebook Review

Our informal YouTube 1080p full screen video test taxed the CPU around 17%. The 4k resolution video test pushed the CPU to around the 80% range. The video feed was smooth at this point, unlike the ProBook's i5-2410M, which showed a little lag....

HP EliteBook 8460p (LW959PA) business laptop

HP EliteBook 8460p review: A 14in laptop with excellent build quality, performance and security features

Excellent performance ; Great build quality ; Good security features

High price ; Heavy for its size ; Access panel comes off easily

There's no doubt that the HP EliteBook 8460p is an excellent little laptop. It's fast, strong and offers good security options. It's also heavy for its size though, and definitely pricey!

HP EliteBook 8460p

The brushed aluminium case over a magnesium chassis makes the HP EliteBook 8640p look business-like and well built, and that's exactly what this Core i5 14" laptop is. Stylish without any extreme design styling, it's crammed with ports and useful...

Powerful, packed with ports and features for the business users, good screen, better-than-average sound

Big and pricey, you may be paying for features you won't use, standard battery life could be better

The HP EliteBook 8460p proves that serious business notebooks can look good and perform well as well. The screen and the super-smooth touchpad are stand-outs, as is the sound quality (for a business machine). It is hefty though, both in bulk and price,...

HP Elitebook 8460p

Muted screen is easier on the eyes. Multi-carrier-enabled 3G module. SSD option brings huge performance. Great connectivity.

Keyboard LED downlamp is useless.

We like what the Elitebook brings to the party. The high resolution, muted screen will be great for all-day computing, and the multi-carrier 3G module is a big boon for those who need to travel, but don't want to be locked into one particular carrier.

HP EliteBook 8460P

Solid build, Commendable specs, Excellent performance across the board, Potential for superlative battery life (with slice battery)

Chunky, Unremarkable screen, No backlighting on keyboard

As a business notebook, we loved the EliteBook’s solid build, its comfortable keyboard and its responsive trackpad and trackpoint. For most users, the Core i7 processor, 280 GB hard drive and 4 GB of RAM should be more than sufficient, while...
