Review HP EliteBook 8570p-B6Q03EA-ABD Notebook

Mobile high-end. One thing is for sure: the HP EliteBook 8570p is no run-of-the-mill system designed for the masses. Rather, the system tries to appeal to the professional user and touts features such as a premium chassis, great display, long warranty,...

Very high build quality and premium materials, Sturdy construction, Lots of ports and expansion options, Very good display, Ample processing power, Chassis remains cool, Overall, a very well executed notebook with a high-quality chassis, an excellent...

No switchable graphics, Review model had a fairly unresponsive touchpad, High power consumption at low load levels, Just average graphics performance, Below average battery life, Switchable Graphics would be very beneficial as it would lead to better...

Nice Specs Kind of

Will contact the refurb company and see if they will make good on the RAM without sending it back.

Full spec refurb

Heavy and when I checked installed RAM it indicated only 2GB of RAM total and a single channel.

Great laptop

For any technicians out there still needing a serial port (RS232) this is one sweet buy. The 8570p is an amazing mix of new and old technology. USB3 is fast compared to USB2. The finger print technology is great, you can log in very quickly. I added a...

Best Notebook I have ever owned

Unless you're buying this for strictly business use I would stay far away from the version with the Intel 4000 Graphics card. I chose the 8570p over the 8570w because it came with a serial port (I'm a network guy). The 8570w might suit others better.

I immediately installed a 120GB SSD upon arrival. I didn't try it out with the stock hard drive installed but with the SSD this thing is shockingly fast. Jaw dropping fast. From cold-boot to ready-to-use in under 10 seconds fast. The outer case is...

Mine arrived with a small 'ding' in the top of the outer case (its metal). I didn't bother to send it back

HP EliteBook 8570p

Does not feel as sturdy in some places as I was expecting it to, but so far they have been fast and reliable. The HP SoftPaq Download Manager and restore disks are nice touches to aid our support teams.

Now this is a Notebook!

Sexy, Durable design wrapped up in a powerful package. I have had many of these on our office and never a complaint. If you are looking for a notebook that has hours of battery and can still be your main machine, this is it!

Excellent Work Notebook.

I went through the hassle of having 3 notebooks delivered, and ultimately sent them back. This HP performs awesome in the field.

Good overall laptop

We bought a couple of these elitebooks and they have really worked great. The sales people in the field bang them around and drop them and overall the laptop stands up to the punishment.
