HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 review:

Laptops with touch screens aren't new territory for HP. Windows 8 and its touch-friendly interface, however, gives consumers more of a reason to have one, even on traditional laptop designs like the HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 (4t-1100 series to be...

HP's Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 is an attractive ultrabook with a respectable mix of components for its price, a responsive touch screen, and a backlit keyboard.

The Envy TouchSmart 4 isn't very configurable, so you can't make it too much more powerful than it already is. It's on the heavy side for an "ultrabook" (if you consider 4.5 pounds heavy). Its touch pad is jumpy at default settings.

The HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 is a good gateway to the Windows 8 experience with a responsive touch screen in a traditional laptop body.

HP Envy TouchSmart

The HP Envy 23-d060qd TouchSmart is the example that all other all-in-one PCs should follow. Using the 23-inch touchscreen, you'll quickly learn and enjoy using Windows 8. The computer handles any program you throw at it, and as an entertainment hub,...

The i7 processor runs all programs and many games with ease, and the 8GB of RAM keep everything running smoothly and quickly

The unit does not have many available USB ports, so you'll have to manage the inputs more than any other all-in-one PC we reviewed

The HP Envy 23-d060qd TouchSmart fits well in any home, due to its functionality, design and performance.

"Very Buggy"

I've had this computer two years, and it was ok for the first 1/3 of my ownership, but it has become increasingly buggy, slow, and hard to use. The battery life has been cut in half, it dies on me at random, and also the entire computer crashes if a...

"Good laptop with a few easy-to-deal-with issues"

My first laptop was one of the old dell inspirons, you know, the ones from the lollipop commercials, and this was a massive step up. That one lasted me two years before it got so slow and broken in some places that I had to toss it. This Christmas will...

"Perfect! 90% used on my lap in the bed. Even at night."

Very happy with this computer. Much lighter than what I previously had. Overall performance is great. I would definitely recommend this computer with the i5 CORE processor.

Light weight, keyboard lights up for night time use not to disturb the wife. Hp CoolSense keeps it running cooler than most, but I use a tilted cooling pad anyway. I also use a flex fan over the power button. The left side gets warm.

The touch screen is too sensitive on the right side to where as the function screen will pop out too often. Lately I have been having my screen freezing. Not sure why yet. The external Beats speakers sound HORRIBLE!
