HP G72-250us

The keyboard is exceedingly comfortable, with wide, flat keys that are comfortable and quiet. A number pad sits to the right of the keyboard, but despite having plenty of room, the G72-250us does not have a row of multimedia shortcut keys above the...

Great performance for the price. Strong battery life. Attractive design. Comfortable keyboard and touchpad. Lightweight for desktop replacement

Weak audio. No eSATA port. No Blu-ray drive

The HP G72-250us impresses with its new design and performance for the price, but tinny speakers on a big desktop replacement always ruin the fun.

Pretty Happy

I'm not a computer expert, but an average user. I shopped around and paid about $470 for it. It is a huge improvent over my last laptop. For the cost, it is a home run, so far.

Screen and speed

I have heard it over heats, but I have not seen that for myself

Great value, could use a few features.

I'll focus on the hardware aspects here. (The very first thing I did out of the box was wipe the disk clean and install a linux distribution, Ubuntu 10.10.)

Great price. Large, bright screen. Large keyboard with numeric pad. Core I3 processor and 4GB DDR3 is more than adequate for most jobs. 500GB HD

The trackpad is just horrid - get a mouse. No USB-3 or E-SATA ports. Chintzy speakers

Powerful laptop, just missing a few things

Its a very powerful laptop. I threw everything i had at it and cpu usage never went over 75%, most of the time it was below 35%, i couldn't believe it. I wish it came with a few more options but then it would cost more ;)

Very powerful i3 processor, 4GB ram, spacious keyboard, big vivid screen, webcam (although i don't use it) hdmi port. 3 USB 2.0 ports. Blu-ray drive/dvd-rw combo with lightscribe. 500gb hd. wireless N

Don't like the trackpad, I also wish it had a USB 3.0 port. Speakers aren't anything to brag about. Display isn't 1080

Not satisfied

I got this one as a gift from my uncle. For a month or so I was happy with this. I was satisfied with the big screen and its visual clarity. There was an electrical problem which caused the system randomly shutdown and I had to lose some of my data....

Big screen

Runs hot, random shutdown

Computer overheats all the time

I have had this computer for about two and a half years. It has been a great computer overall however the reason i am giving it 3 stars is because of the tremendous issues i have had with the equipment itself. Shortly after getting it i found that he...

Broke

I had my HP for about 2 weeks before it broke. I took it to best buy and they told me the dc port wouldnt charge. It wouldn't turn back on at all. Thank goodness I didn't have anything important on it. I am currently sending it back to the company for...

Two years and still going strong

Got this two years ago and it has been a good computer. It is time to replace the battery to give me a bit longer when I am unplugged.
