Review: HP Pavilion dm1

Our favorite netbook from earlier this year gets a refresh. Some things are improved, some not. But the price is still right.

Still one of the best netbooks on the market. An all-around solid unit that looks better than ever. Upgraded webcam and audio. Improved battery life

Screen is significantly dimmer than the dm1z and viewing angles aren’t great. Slight performance drop

HP Pavilion dm1 Review

HP brings out a new mini-star.

Great build quality, Decent performance, Good battery life, Looks beautiful, Crisp screen, Nice keyboard layout, External DVD rewriter

Brazos CPU is somewhat underwhelming, No backlit keyboard

The overall feel of the Pavilion dm1 is a very smooth looking ultraportable. It’s not incredibly thin, nor intensely light, weighing in at 1.5kgs. However, the Pavilion dm1 does have certain appeal to it; it’s curving at just the right angles, buttons...

HP Pavilion dm1-3020us Entertainment PC

Speedy for its price, size class ; Superb multimedia playback ; Very good battery life ; Roomy touch pad ; Sharp, bright screen

Noticeable fan noise under load ; 3D performance can’t keep up with latest games

This Pavilion looks like a netbook, but it packs AMD’s Fusion technology inside. It's an excellent, light choice for both productivity and media playback on the road.
