Comp Purchase

This is a great machine runs like the Jamaican track team. Would recommend it to anyone in need of a high spec computer but at a lowered price. Love this machine to death. No complaints, was skeptical at first but that all change when I had this baby...

Picks up dust fairly easily but you get a cloth to clean with so no biggie

Awesome Laptop

Once excess software is removed it is very fast and thus far is running perfectly. Great buy!!!

Great features and great performance for the price. The finish and overall build quality are great

Fingerprints are a menace due to the glossy finish. Lots of excess software pre-installed which slowed down the computer. Wireless button does feel a little cheap

Great computer

Haven't tried playing any games on it yet since this laptop was really intended for school use. Played a few dvds and it is quite enjoyable especially with the multimedia remote. I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase overall, and it will definately do...

Great for students. Lots of ram, processing power, and bundled entertainment software along with lightscribe and other things. Webcam is also a nice touch which is surprisingly not very choppy at all during recording sessions

Slow to boot. but i think its just cuz of all the prebundled software that is being allowed to open on startup. so technically not a huge con

Practical Bargain

Definitely a good machine for people going-back-to-school. And parents, if you are worried about your kids play games, don't worry, they won't if you keep the included hard drive in the machine.

I originally got this laptop from Best Buy on May 17th, 2008 as a gift. It was $800 form Best Buy and man, what a great value. This little tyke has 4GB of memory, an AMD Dual Core, and a 250GB 5,400RPM Drive (Swapped out for a 7,200 RPM) ; A week ago,...

Does not have an HDMI-out connection ; Does not come with a 7,200 RPM hard drive ; Comes with a lot of bundled software preinstalled ; Had 'The Sims 2' installed when I bought it ; Not Windows Vista Ultimate

Amazing

I had been thinking about buying this for a while and was prepared for downgrading to XP. I had most of the drivers set, and I thought it would be a nights worth of work. 2 days later here I am having to use Windows XP x32bit with PAE (to use most of...

Hello all. This is my second Pavilion in the last two weeks. The first was was an Intel Dual core running at 1.83 with 2GB of 667 memory. It had at 250GB harddrive and an on board video card ; After testing that one for a bit I really didn't feel it's...
