HP Pavilion dv6700t

HP's latest 15.4-inch notebook sports a stylish design, solid performance, and plenty of multimedia bells and whistles.

Eye-catching design ; Good productivity performance ; Altec Lansing speakers ; Bundled TV tuner and remote ; Blu-ray drive

Only one display option

On the surface, the HP Pavilion dv6700t isn't much different from the dv6500t, but the powerful Penryn processor, optional Blu-ray drive, and TV Tuner should prove compelling options for multimedia mavens. Some may prefer the Dell XPS M1530, which...

HP Pavilion dv6700t Review

The HP Pavilion dv6700t replaces the dv6500t as HP's newest 15.4" consumer notebook offering cutting edge design and performance in a mobile package. With Intel Core 2 Duo processors, available LightScribe optical drive, available nVidia dedicated...

Your choice of Core 2 Duo processors ; Solid dedicated graphics option for occasional gamers ; Still one of the best designs on the market (see below) ; Excellent build quality ; Great keyboard and touchpad ; Responsive media buttons and nice remote

Glossy Imprint finish is a magnet for fingerprints ; Only three USB ports with dedicated graphics option ; Overall design is starting to look dated after two years ; Did HP really need to put eight stickers on the palm rests

Bottom line, although the overall design hasn't changed in two years the HP dv6700t delivers modern day performance and plenty of multimedia extras with style and an affordable price tag. Overall the dv6700t is one of the best notebooks available for...

Packed with features at a great price

After having my Compaq Presario V2311US for 4 years the display began to have problems. In my opinion, it was poor design to loop the video cable in a place over the processor heat sink. I tried to buy a new cable only to find out that you have to buy ...

I purchase this laptop to pay my bills while I'm moving from FL to VA.The only thing that I don't like is the battery life, other than that is good to store music, photos and surf the internet.

Product Specifications

The HP Pavilion dv6700 is a feature-loaded 15.4” notebook. It's powered by a fast 2.4 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It has 2 GB of RAM and a 250 GB hard drive. While this does point to it being a bit of an older model, this should still be plenty (especially for the price, and with its powerful processor, users shouldn't have too much trouble running large applications. The large screen supports a 1280 x 800 resolution, which allows plenty of room for working or gaming. The HP Pavilion dv6700 comes with Windows Vista, although it can be upgraded to Windows 7. Overall, the HP Pavilion dv6700 is a good notebook, and its strong processor really makes it stand out.
