HP Pavilion g4-1215dx

If you're going to make a budget laptop, you'd better get your price right. That's the best thing about the HP Pavilion g4-1215dx: a $379 price that makes this easily one of the most wallet-friendly 14-inchers we've come across.

The HP Pavilion g4-1215dx has a great price, an attractive-for-the-price design, and better-than-average speakers, as well as enough graphics performance to play basic games.

A slower-performing AMD A4 processor is better than other bargain-basement processors, but less powerful than Intel's Core i3; screen colors look washed out; battery life is merely average.

Budget shoppers take note: the extremely aggressively priced HP Pavilion g4-1215dx is a worthwhile laptop pick for those who want a basic, cheap computer. It's hard to find a decent laptop for less--and we've seen lesser laptops that cost more.

Great value. It just works.""

I needed a basic laptop with long battery life for long flights and small presentations where i use the laptop display. This meets all of my needs. Simple design, not too much stupid software added. I put on OpenOffice and i'm all set now.

Very good value, long battery life, simple form factor and design.

None really, except that i couldn't find it on sale somewhere, but purchasing at Best Buy was fine.

I am having problems with warranty coverage of my HP Pavilion G4 notebook computer. I sent it to their service center, about a week ago, under warranty, for an internal crack in the display that began showing up less than 2 months after I purchased it...

receive the laptop today fall short of product description not an amd turion 11 processor but rather an amd athlon 11 p360 no 4 gig of ram just 3 gig. Found one really visible scratch but i would expect that it is a use product came with everything...

HP Pavilion 4g Series

I bought this notebook from HP in February 2012. I enjoy using it, but the LCD panel had to be replaced. This repair cost 1/2 the price of the notebook. I don't feel it is sturdy so if you buy this be sure to handle it very carefully. I am disappointed...
