I purchased this computer from Office Depot in May, 2009. It is for personal use and is well taken care of. The first year the battery died and the hard drive crashed. The second year the LCD died. All of these were replaced under warranty. Just after...

HP G60 (441us)

By John R. Delaney (pcmag.com)

Choosing a budget notebook usually requires a sacrifice of some sort, be it a stripped-down feature set or subpar components. With the G60 (441us) ($599.98 list), HP delivers a compromise that you can live with. This mainstream notebook offers a nice...

Great price. 16:9 aspect display. HDMI port. Draft-n Wi-Fi

Sluggish performance. Lacks media player controls

The HP G60 (441us) is an affordable mainstream notebook featuring a bright 15.6-inch screen and a decent feature set. It's not a great performer, but the price is right.

There are better performing notebooks in its class, but not at this low a price.

HP Pavilion G60-445dx

By (cnet.com)

Good keyboard and touch pad ; decent 16x9 screen

Worse-than-average AMD processor and battery life ; no Bluetooth

For $549, the HP Pavilion G60-235dx has a mediocre processor and performance in a package that's not much of a bargain.

HP G60-235DX

By (cnet.com)

Good performance and battery life for an entry-level laptop ; 16:9 display ; separate number pad

Bland design ; flimsy keyboard, no Bluetooth

HP's anonymous-looking G60-235DX is one of the better overall values you'll find on retail-store shelves for under $600.

HP G60-125nr

By (cnet.com)

Cinematic 16:9 display is good for movies and HD video ; separate number pad in small 15-inch chassis will appeal to number crunchers and movie watchers

Slower and more expensive than similar systems ; touch pad has poor feel ; overly glossy screen is really bad with reflections ; no ExpressCard slot

If you need a 16:9 display in a small 15-inch format, there are cheaper and more powerful choices than HP's G60-125NR.

HP G60-443CL

By (pcmag.com)

The G60 weighs 6.2 pounds, which is manageable for short hauls but may be a bit too heavy for longer trips. The 15.6-inch display has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 and a 16:9 aspect ratio, which means it'll display high definition (720p) movies in...

Great price. 16:9 aspect display. HDMI port. Draft n Wi-Fi. Two-year warranty

So-so performance. Lacks media player controls

The HP G60-443CL is an affordable mainstream notebook featuring a bright 15.6-inch screen and a decent feature set. You won't get blazing performance from this notebook, but it'll handle your everyday workload and comes with a two year warranty...

Once you take their price tags off, you can't tell the HP G60-530us from the G60-533cl without a screwdriver, or at least not without hitting the Start menu, right-clicking on Computer, and clicking Properties. (The 530us has 3GB of memory while the...

HP G60-533cl

By (pcmag.com)

The keyboard has a first-rate typing feel and a separate but smallish numeric keypad (the keypad is only 80 percent as wide as a 17-inch or larger laptop's pad). Certainly the convenience of having the keypad outweighs the minor adjustment of more...

Good keyboard with numeric keypad. HDMI port. Two-year warranty

Low-resolution screen. Integrated graphics

The 15.6-inch HP G60-533cl offers few frills but appealing features, though the laptop's $650 price isn't the bargain it was a few months ago.

HP G60-630us

By (pcmag.com)

It's hard to recommend the HP G60-630us given its lackluster performance and relatively stingy feature set. Sure, it can handle your basic home productivity and multimedia tasks, and its $650 price tag is certainly enticing. However, there are plenty...

Comfortable keyboard. Bright display

Sluggish performance. Old technology. Limited feature set

The HP G60-630us has a bright, colorful display and a winning keyboard, but we expect better performance and better components for the money.
