Hewlett Packard Pavilion ZV6000 Review (pics, specs)

I use my computers for a wide range of work -- office tasks such as word-processing, photo editing and graphics, as well as desktop publishing. However, my work has gravitated more to graphic arts over the past 2.5 years and I needed to upgrade my...

BrightView wide screen AMD Athlon processor Good fit and finish Slim profile, not as heavy as older notebooks that served as desktop replacements Excellent performance using graphics programs that are processor-intense Reasonable price

Keyboard layout and shallow keys Lack of serial ports (then none of the computer manufacturers seem to be including legacy ports on their new notebook computers) Lack of support for CF cards from cameras (the digital media slot, which comes with the...

I hope to have this notebook computer in my network for many years. (I don't usually throw away computers but keep them integrated in my home network, which is a good thing since some of my 16-bit applications won't work on an XP system.) I feel that...

HP Pavilion ZV6000 Review (pics, specs)

The HP zv6000 is at the lower end of the price range for HP notebooks, but I feel it is an excellent value for all that is included. It is primarily intended to be a desktop replacement, but with 3-4 hours of battery life, it will definitely do the job...

Very good notebook for the money Solid construction Bright, crisp screen even for the regular LCD All the inputs/outputs I really need New technology: i.e. first PCI Express video for AMD notebook Replaces a whole desktop computer

Have to wait for construction and shipping from China Have to wait for rebates to come back Speakers could be better

I definitely recommend this notebook to anyone who is looking for a powerful desktop replacement or just good notebook that they don't mind lugging around.Pros: Very good notebook for the money Solid construction Bright, crisp screen even for the...

HP Pavilion ZV6000 Review

A well-equipped (if our test unit had had WiFi), widescreened Athlon 64 portable at an affordable price

Too hefty to haul around often; docking base is too expensive

We already mentioned the handy keyboard labeling of the side-mounted I/O ports, but should specify what's available: Along the right side you'll find headphone and microphone jacks, one USB 2.0 and one IEEE 1394 FireWire port, S-Video out and Ethernet...

HardwareCentral - HP Pavilion ZV6000 Review.

Sticking to XGA resolution, we managed 29 frames per second in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and 86 fps in the older, less demanding Quake III Arena; the Pavilion averaged an almost-adequate 13 fps in AquaMark3 and posted Futuremark 3DMark03 and...
