Excellent performance; comprehensive feature set; powerful graphics card; 17-inch wide-screen display; dual TV tuners and digital recorder; remote control; crisp speakers; built-in FM radio.

Huge and heavy; short battery life; noisy fans; runs hot.

A TV, a digital recorder, a stereo, and--oh, yes--a powerful computer, the HP Pavilion zd8000 is one of the very best multimedia powerhouses on the market.
