Review HP ProBook 470 G0 (H6P56EA) Notebook

Big Business. The new HP ProBook 470 promises professional quality at a bargain price, but what is the catch? Despite a Core-i7 chip, a lot of memory and a dedicated Radeon GPU, this 17-inch notebook is available at prices starting at less than 800...

Impeccable manufacturing; Various security features; Good input devices; Extensive memory; Matte Display; High performance when running applications; Option between Windows 7 and 8; low-noise and cool

Short warranty; Only few upgrade possibilities; TN panel that is viewing-angle dependent

As other 17-inch alternatives there is the MSI CX70, the Dell Inspiron 17R SE, the Toshiba Satellite Pro L870 or the Samsung 350E7C.

Very easy to use

Was offered an option of Windows 8.. This seems to be a sales ploy and I have had no offer or chance to upgrade

Both screen and keyboard are comfortable to work with. Speed is fast enough for most business applications. Buttons for Wireless and Speakers are good to have. Speaker quality is good. Build quality is very good.

Connections to USB ports and Spkr/Mic jacks on RHS get in way of using a mouse (if you are right-handed). Function keys would be better if larger - especially the Del-Home-End-PgUp-PgDn
