HP ProBook 5310m (Core 2 Duo SP9300 2.26GHz review: HP ProBook 5310m (Core 2 Duo SP9300 2.26GHz

Excellent design and mobile performance for less than $1,000.

Getting the best performance and portability requires a few upgrades.

A well-priced ultraportable with some pop, the HP ProBook 5310m is a fine business-travel companion.

HP ProBook 5310m

The trendy-looking HP ProBook 5310m SMB laptop comes with benefits that will make you forget about legacy features such as the optical drive and VGA port.

Luxuriously thin and light. Amazing typing and navigating experience. Great battery life on a 41Wh battery. Inexpensive. HP Quick tools are nice add-ons. Environmentally friendly.

8-cell battery isn't available yet.

HP ProBook 5310m

HP has a thing of business-savvy beauty on its hands with the ProBook 5310m. Why do I say that? Even the guys in the PC World Labs--who see everything under the sun--were impressed by its industrial design. The sleek black aluminum case, the supple...

Great industrial design ; Incredibly handy proprietary software

Mouse buttons could be a little bigger ; No eSATA or pass-through USB charging port

The ProBook 5310m's slim, stylish case impresses--and so do its quick-booting, business-friendly apps. Stay tuned for the results of its lab tests.

HP ProBook 5310m Review

HP promises that the new ProBook 5310m is a "stylish" business notebook that packs performance, battery life, and value inside a thin-and-light 13-inch notebook. Is the ProBook 5310m truly a lust-worthy business laptop, or is it just another black box?...

Excellent build quality and design ; A good price (when pre-configured) ; Nice keyboard and touchpad

No optical drive ; Custom configurations are overpriced ; Limited configuration options

Review HP ProBook 5310m Notebook

A Really Flat Business Book. HP's ProBook of 13.3 inches addresse

High-end material look; Very good keyboard; Very good application performance; High battery life; Robust lid & hinge unit; Fast hard disk

Smeary surfaces on the touchpad and beside the keys; Loud hard disk; Single gaps; Yielding case; Loose sitting battery

More runtime with sufficient performance is found in Asus' UL30A-QX050V. But also the 13 and 14 inchers of Acer's Timeline range are cheaper and also don't have to hide in regards to workmanship: 4810T, 3810T. If you like the ProBook's aluminum look,...

HP ProBook 5310m

HP touts the $900 ProBook 5310m as being the world's thinnest full-performance notebook, but its slim form factor doesn't mean limited functionality. The 5310m ultra-portable is burly enough to satisfy demanding business users, and it boasts a price...

Attractive design; strong security and reliability features; reasonable price tag

Only 3.5 hours of battery life on the four-cell model

HP's ProBook 5310m delivers solid performance, a gamut of security features, shock-resistant reliability, attractive industrial design, and a price tag that won’t upset the accountants. We like it a lot!

HP ProBook 5310m

If you are after a tiny laptop and are certain you won't ever be playing any graphically intensive games on it, you'd be hard pressed to find a better machine than HP's 5310m.

Excellent design and mobile performance for less than AU$1500

DisplayPort can limit your options without adapters, Lacks eSATA port

Review: HP 5310m ProBook Ultraportable Notebook

HP calls it the most affordable ultraportable notebook on the market.

Core 2 Duo S fast but nets good battery life ; Bright 13-inch display ; Light, toughened aluminum body ; Full-size, spillproof keyboard ; Instant-boot access to e-mail, web ; Decent expansion ; Good software security ; Very competitive pricing

No real hardware security features ; External optical drive not included ; Multi-touch trackpad a bit quirky ; No option for dedicated graphics

design, display and visual performanceThe ProBook line's defining feature is its construction; even today, it's one of the few lineups outside of Apple's that consistently uses aluminum for its body. That contributes both to a fairly light body
