Review HP ProBook 6555b Notebook

Triple-Core. The upscale office class from HP is called ProBook.

Keyboard with great feedback; Touchpad for fast-paced work; Many connections including serial; eSATA & FireWire; 3G-Modul with GPS; Security functions like TPM; Matte display; Stable base unit; 7200 rpm HDD without vibration; Good sound quality

Comparably short runtimes; Small color space/contrasts; Loud optical driver

HP effectively eliminated vibrations from the 7.200 RPM harddrive.

Not A Phenom II Triple-Core

The HP ProBook is available with ; AMD Phenom II Triple-Core Mobile Processor N830 (2.1 GHz, 35 W, 1.5MB L2 cache) ; or ; AMD Turion II Dual-Core Mobile Processor P520 (2.3 GHz, 25 W, 2MB L2 cache) ; there is no Phenom II Triple-core P520 ; The P520...

The P520 is about 30% slower in multi-threaded programs
