HP xb2000 notebook expansion base

The HP xb2000 notebook expansion base features most of the important ports, as well as a great set of speakers and a wireless keyboard and mouse, but it's very expensive.

Decent assortment of ports ; Very good speakers ; Included wireless keyboard and mouse ; Accommodates optional built-in hard drive ; Adjustable tilt and height ; Volume controls and mute

Heavy and bulk ; Awkward connector ; Lacks a handful of connections

HP backs the xb2000 expansion base with a standard one-year warranty -- significantly less than Lenovo's three years of coverage. There's a good variety of troubleshooting resources buried in the HP support site's Options section, though the site's...

HP xb2000 notebook expansion base

I like the look and function of this base. Why HP makes these then abandons them is a mystery to me. With an upgraded hard drive for the bay I would be happy as a clam. I like the compactness. When I travel, I just unplug the one plug to take the...

adjusts laptop for correct viewing, attach one plug to access all peripherals-all usb, ethernet, phone, etc plug ins work well

Failed once but HP replaced it quickly. Can no longer find an axillary hard drive for the bay

Elevates screen to eye level. Better sound

My infrared keyboard and mouse stopped working after less than two years so now the $250 expansion base is useless. I could have purchased an IBM product with a three year warranty but chose HO instead. What a disappointment

HP xb2000 notebook expansion base

I guess, this is OK, but not for the price. I wanted to have something that I could hook up my all-in-one printer/scanner/fax at all times when I plugged in at my office desk, so that was fine, but the option to connect an additional monitor doesn't...

Decent built-in speakers, includes some desired ports, compact design for the additional hard drive

Limited ports that required me still have my notebook wired, cheaply made wireless keyboard and mouse

HP xb2000 notebook expansion base

You can buy a notebook stand and a usb hub for around 20% of what this costs, My notebook comes with Altec Lansing speakers, so although the Harmon Kardons are great they are not that great as to justify spending 250 bucks on them.In all honesty its a...

Has great speakers

HP xb2000 notebook expansion base

We purchased the HP Pavilion dv8000 notebook computer in 4/06 via a custom order at Office Depot.

Very good built-in speakers, space for an additional hard drive

Terrible design on the cable connector in order to dock your notebook

HP xb2000 notebook expansion base

The wireless keyboard and mouse did not work with the xb2000. I called customer support and was on the phone for 2 hours talking to 5 different people. No one was able to verify the warranty of the product purchased on hp.com 3 days ago. I got fed up....

Product got delivered before promised date

Poor customer service, Wireless keyboard and mouse does not work

HP xb2000 notebook expansion base

It works almost perfect for me. And in my case it is not so expensive (100 bucks on sale).

Heaviest is a positive thing as I am not run with it around but I like to know that my laptop stay quite stable in it

Some extra ports and power adaptor would be nice
