HP xb2000 notebook expansion base

I like the look and function of this base. Why HP makes these then abandons them is a mystery to me. With an upgraded hard drive for the bay I would be happy as a clam. I like the compactness. When I travel, I just unplug the one plug to take the...

adjusts laptop for correct viewing, attach one plug to access all peripherals-all usb, ethernet, phone, etc plug ins work well

Failed once but HP replaced it quickly. Can no longer find an axillary hard drive for the bay

Elevates screen to eye level. Better sound

My infrared keyboard and mouse stopped working after less than two years so now the $250 expansion base is useless. I could have purchased an IBM product with a three year warranty but chose HO instead. What a disappointment

I guess, this is OK, but not for the price. I wanted to have something that I could hook up my all-in-one printer/scanner/fax at all times when I plugged in at my office desk, so that was fine, but the option to connect an additional monitor doesn't...

Decent built-in speakers, includes some desired ports, compact design for the additional hard drive

Limited ports that required me still have my notebook wired, cheaply made wireless keyboard and mouse

We purchased the HP Pavilion dv8000 notebook computer in 4/06 via a custom order at Office Depot.

Very good built-in speakers, space for an additional hard drive

Terrible design on the cable connector in order to dock your notebook
