Huawei MateBook D (i7-7500U, GeForce 940MX) Laptop Review

Wallet-friendly mainstream..business? Huawei's 15.6-inch mainstream laptop surely looks the part, but while the build quality is good and the overall performance decent, the MateBook D suffers from a few significant shortcomings.

aluminum chassis ; high quality construction ; non-glare IPS display ; decent battery life ; comes with SSD and HDD ; likely fairly inexpensive

Each model has a 1920 x 1080 pixel display with 178 degree viewing angles, a 43.3 Wh battery, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, HDMI, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and audio jacks. The laptop measures about 0.7 inches thick and weighs about 4.2 pounds.

Huawei MateBook D review

Huawei's first attempt at a laptop

Lots of connectivity options ; Large display

No backlit keyboard ; Heavy

The new MateBook D isn't the most exciting product in Huawei's first laptop range, but it may be suitable for your next computing device with a solidly built design and lots of impressive spec.
