Dell Inspiron 15-7548 Notebook Review

Slimmed down. The new version of the Inspiron 15 of the 7000-series is much slimmer than the predecessor, and now has a 4K display. However, the restriction is not only limited to the chassis: You also have to live with drawbacks in terms of graphics...

Appealing aluminum chassis, 4K IPS display, Fast Solid State Drive, Moderate warming, Usually quiet, Good maintainability

Dark and low-contrast display, Average runtimes at best

"Dell offers a slim 15.6-inch all-rounder with the Inspiron 15-7548, which has an appealing aluminum chassis.

Dell Inspiron 15 (7537)

The touch-screen Dell Inspiron 15 (7537) ultrabook is aimed at power users who absolutely need premium components for heavy multitasking.

Large touch screen. Numeric keypad. Full set of I/O ports. 16GB of memory. Speedy boot time

Flimsy screen hinge. Keyboard takes time to master. No 5GHz Wi-Fi

The Dell Inspiron 15 (7537) ($1,149 as tested) is a high-end ultrabook with a premium aluminum and glass construction. It's worth considering if you need discrete graphics for multimedia creation or moderate gameplay. While it is a solid power user's...

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Review

Dell's Inspiron 15 7000 series is a solid alternative for users who want good graphics and processing power but can't afford a solid state drive in their Ultrabook.

Powerful multitasker ; Good HD display ; Solid aluminum build

Poor keyboard, trackpad and layout ; Slow boot and launch times ; Heavy for an Ultrabook

Featuring solid performance in an even more solid body, the Inspiron 15 is an appealing computer technically. For half the price of a comparable Dell XPS 15, the price tag is much more inviting as well, though it lacks the XPS’s amazing screen and SSD....

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series review

Ultrabooks have had plenty of trouble reaching their sales targets, but that doesn't mean they haven't changed the industry.

Sturdy chassis ; Large touchpad and keyboard ; Solid 1080p touchscreen ; Long battery life ; Strong performance from CPU and GPU ; Good value

Heavy ; Display could be brighter ; Fan can be loud at load

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series is an excellent desktop replacement. We just wish it would go on a diet.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 review: A discrete GPU makes it better at play than work

This 15-inch UltraBook is a general-purpose machine with some special powers. But its keyboard and chassis quality might disappoint you.

All-aluminum upper shell ; Vivid display ; Very good gaming performance ; Wi-Fi limited to 802.11n

Mediocre input ergonomics ; Limbo-riffic chassis exhibits too much flex

Dell's upscale 15-inch Ultrabook plays a good game, but its input ergonomics are subpar and it flexes in all the wrong places.

The Dell Inspiron 15 7537 packs Nvidia graphics and a crisp 1080p touch screen inside an attractive aluminum chassis.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Review

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series offers impressively long battery life and solid performance in an elegant aluminum chassis.

Sleek and elegant chassis; Very long battery life; Solid performance and graphics; Impressive speakers

Keys could use more travel; Below-average screen brightness; Somewhat heavy for 15-incher

Well-built and attractive, Great-looking high-res display, Nvidia discrete graphics, Decent sound, Ample RAM and storage, Long battery life

A bit heavy, Not a benchmark barn-burner

Notebooks like this are often dubbed desktop replacements. In this case, unless you're an avid gamer or intensive video or animation editor, the phrase fits. As a consumer-grade computer, the Inspiron is powerful, capable, and good-looking enough to be...

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (7537) Review

It's quite good to see Dell refresh the look and design of the Inspiron range of notebooks, starting with the 7000 series, both for the 14-inch and 15-inch versions. The resemblance to the much more premium XPS range is uncanny, and that is a good...

Refreshed design is a lot better, Very good battery life, Much improved keyboard

Display should have been Full HD
