At $1560, the 1526 is the cheapest option here if you consider it only for games. In terms of value for money however, the P200 is a better deal as it sells for $60 less, offers a full extra gigabyte of RAM and has a hard drive that's larger by ...
If games are your thing, the Amilo Xi 1526 is a good low cost buy but in terms of its overall specifications and actual value for money, it's a bit lacking.

Interacting with the P200 is a mixed bag because whilst the trackpad is great, the keyboard has a couple of flaws. The first is that the space bar feels as though it's about to pop off and the second is the diminutive size of the 'Enter' button.
Although the Toshiba has a somewhat iffy keyboard and basic gaming performance, it offers strong application performance and is actually quite good value for money.

Asus is positioning this laptop as a model for gamers and this becomes obvious the second you begin working with it. The keyboard has great feel and the W,A,S, D keys are highlighted (these are the keys used by FPS gamers to move) and the there's a ...
Sure the Asus G1S is the most expensive notebook in this round-up but it's also the only laptop we'd consider if we were dumping our desktop PC.

The notebook's keyboard and trackpad provide a relaxed working experience and like all the notebooks here the base of the Gigabyte never becomes uncomfortably warm.
Though the Gigabyte W251U offers very good application performance and features, its battery life could be much improved.

The S6's LCD screen is also capable of producing bright colours and has good viewing angles.
If you can stomach the S6 Leather's hefty asking price, this lifestyle-friendly notebook is a very worthy ultra-portable with a long lasting battery.

The only design issue we have with this player is that the trackpad and buttons are spaced a little too far apart. Even after prolonged use we found ourselves trying to press on the notebook's surface rather than the buttons themselves, as these sit ...
Excellent screen, Blu-Ray DVD writer, solid keyboard, great build quality.
Heavy and very expensive.
Though this Vaio is a solid performer and HD-ready, its massive price tag is hard to stomach.

The F3F features a built-in webcam like the Packard Bell EasyNote but unfortunately both suffer from the same flaw; because these devices are integrated they cannot be adjusted independently of the LCD.
The Asus is a quality offering that offers good performance and a reasonable feature set. As it's covered by a two-year warranty it also offers peace of mind.

A great many ultra-portable notebooks now offer these and for the executive who's data is of serious value they are certainly a worthy addition. However this is not, in all honesty, a deal-breaking omission when the product on offer is generally such ...
Solid build, great all-round performance, excellent low price.
No fingerprint scanner, lid casing smudges easily.
This solid, classy little solution is a whizzy performer and suited to every user. One to beat.

You can even jump online to check e-mails or web sites when you're not near or in a wireless hotspot because Fujitsu Siemens has integrated a mobile phone SIM card reader. This means that you need only enable GPRS support on your SIM card (via your ...
Very light, excellent keyboard and touchpad, fantastic styling, carry case supplied, long-lasting battery
Separate optical drive, tight LCD viewing angles.
Stunning looks and snappy performance, but its astronomical price will put off most users.

Considering the HP is also cheaper than the Fujitsu and Toshiba ultra-portables, it therefore offers good value for money. The 2400 is quite easy to work with. Its 12.1" LCD offers clear text, vibrant colours and quite reasonable viewing angles, plus ...
