The notebook offers security features too, care of a biometric fingerprint scanner. While this offers added security, the Fujitsu cannot be set-up - like the cheaper NEC - to boot up only after a fingerprint has been recognised.
With its miniscule dimensions, lightweight, speedy performance and long battery life, the Fujitsu Siemens P7120 is an ultra-portable extraordinaire.

The Asus finished with the fastest CPU and memory scores - a tribute to its up-to-date components.
Boasting speedy performance and a long feature list, the W5F offers unbeatable value, even including the cleaning cloth you'll need to buy.

Getting down to benchmarks, the M70 proved adept at gaming. Its 3DMark2003 and 2005 scores of 5677 and 2492 were higher than that of LG's P1 Express Dual (also reviewed on itp.net). The same was also true with Serious Sam and Quake 3. Moving on to ...
Good keyboard, powerful speakers, silent, top-notch LCD screen, good gaming performance, solidly built.
Poor battery life, small touchpad area.
If you're looking for a PC replacement and games are your bag, the M70 offers all the goods.

Getting down to benchmarks, the benefits of Intel's new platform immediately showed. The Dual scored 4616, 3131 and 3772 in PCMark2005's CPU, memory and hard drive benchmarks - the highest we've recorded from a notebook to date. If you're keen on ...
Excellent application performance, long battery life.
Iffy touchpad, average gaming performance.
Ultra-responsive and exceptionally fast with apps. And it goes on, and on, and on...

news. Despite the gaming racket, the Gigabyte is very solidly built. The keyboard is comfortable to work with and the touchpad is reasonably sized so you won't find yourself getting tired.
Quality keyboard & speakers, well-built, great for apps and games, relatively light weight.
Noisy cooling, not 64-bit software ready, display.
If you're sure you won't be making the switch to a 64-bit platform very soon, the W511A is a robust, fast 32-bit solution.

In terms of application performance, both notebooks were evenly matched owing to their similar components. The Fujitsu returned scores of 4101, 6899 and 490 in PCMark's CPU, memory and hard drive benchmarks - this was only slightly faster than what ...
Biometric scanner, long battery life, light, feature rich, great keyboard, responsive touchpad.
Expensive.
If security is a priority, the P7120 deserves your attention. While it won't stop hackers from stealing data via an unsecured network, you're at least guaranteed protection from those that might approach your laptop with evil intent.

Gaming performance was a different matter however, with the Sahara talking all the glory. With a battery life of two hours and 15 minutes, the DTK also finished with a three-minute advantage, and as it's 300g lighter than the Sahara this makes it ...
64-bit software compatible, good keyboard, quiet cooling system.
Heavy, LCD not the most vibrant, run of the mill performance, no DVD writer.
If you're shopping for the future, the Presto X55 is a possible buy as it's 64-bit ready. but if you're after a speedy application and gaming desktop replacement right now, keep looking.

30 minutes it will surely go the distance. Had it offered a beefier graphics system, it would have been an attractive all-rounder for both regular consumers and business users whereas now it's mainly recommended for business users.
Excellent build quality and keyboard, strong security features, long battery life, good overall performance, hard drive protection system.
A little heavy, relatively expensive.
If you were worried about the repercussions of Lenovo taking over the fabled ThinkPad line from IBM, you can put your worries to rest. The Z60 is a cracker.

As an applications machine the LS 70 is plenty fast. It bagged scores of 2771, 2558 and 2760 in PCMark 2005's CPU, memory and hard drive tests. Moving on to games, the Express wowed us with its performance. It was the fastest in this test with regards ...
If you're after a notebook to tackle both apps and games and don't mind the 40GB hard disk, the $953 LG LS70 Express should be at the top of your list.

The HP's battery life of one hour and 24 minutes is basic and it was only able to beat the $165 cheaper Packard Bell B3600. However, it did beat the B3600 with PC Mark 2005.
A relatively fast business notebook for sure, but the nx6110 lacks the strong feature set it would need to stand out in this crowd.
