Dell Latitude E6510 review

Desktop performance, SSD storage, a Full HD display and numerous security and support options, but the E6510 is let down by its spongy keyboard and wayward trackpad

Product brief: Dell Latitude E6510 review

Unlike the other workstation laptops tested this month, the Dell Latitude E6510 isn't primarily about raw power. Its Nvidia NVS 3100M graphics chip is less concerned with accelerating complex rendering tasks, more with powering multiple displays with...

Taking the Dell as it is, it’s just a little too expensive; however make some custom choices in a few key areas, and you have a viable alternative to the competition’s high-end business offerings.

Nice laptop for the price.

Yes I would recommend this as long as you not gaming or some such thing. It's a nice computer for $130 and my mother in law loves it.

*Great for email, facebook, and so on. *Great price *nice looking *everything you need to get online

*A bit slow needs more RAM *It came with the wrong watt plug (but it works fine with the included one)

So far, so good... really good!

The smart choice to me is refurb.... where else can you get a SSD at this price!

Fantastic machine. SSD is the way to go! At first, I was fearful about a refurb unit, but all has been good. This unit has a new ssd and new chipset, so it's pretty much new imho.

I don't like the rubber surface that surrounds the touchpad, but I have since gotten used to it.

Up Dated review after installing SSD

The SSD failure (glitch, really) was a surprise, as I have 2 others in my desktop PCs running just fine, one with W7 and 1 with W10. If you have an older PC, an SSD is a great way to put some speed and responsiveness into it. And the upgrade to W10 is...

Follow up review after installing an Intel SSD and upgrading to Windows 10: Ah, now it is a computer that works like it should- fast boot up, snappy program loads, and nice to look at. It is good enough for a travel computer that my wife can use at her...

After the first install of the SSD with Windows 7 cloned off the HDD and a week after an update to Windows 10, the boot record of the SSD became corrupt. W10 ran for a week, with the computer constantly on running my online weather station, but while...

Lacking in the details...

I had access to a Windows boot disk and knew how to configure the BIOS. I do not think that most lay people would want to bother with the hassle. I feel that the price was great for the hardware, but the system definitely had some issues.

1) The hardware was reasonable for the cost ; 2) Got a free SD card that was leftover from the previous user

1) After about 6 months of use the computer started to slow down and eventually Windows failed to boot or repair itself at the 8 month mark. After REFORMATTING the hard drive the computer still registered the original install of Windows when booting. I...
