w510 Review

I was able to order a full HD screen which was compatible with this model. If you search the internet, you should be able to find one. It was very easy to install (there are videos). I also upgraded the RAM to 16GB. I am running Arch Linux on this...

Good laptop. Room to upgrade. It comes with a dock having plenty of USB2.0 ports. No defects

As everyone else mentions: The power adapter. I received my unit with the 90W adapter. I contacted the vendor directly, and they said they would send me the 135w adapter. Two weeks has passed, and I still haven't received it. I went ahead and purchased...

ThinkPad W510

So, don't bother unless you really need an expensive paperweight.

Nice looking laptop ; However, since I couldn't boot the machine, this is the only Pro

Yup, it's the power adapter again. Despite the three other reviewers *all* mentioning improper power adapters, Newegg continues to ship these with the same problem ; In fact, this time I got a 65W power adapter, not even the insufficient 90W the others...

Great machine, a work station.Intel I 7processor. Condition perfect. Takes Linux Mint 100%. Docking station works perfectly, a real asset. USB 3.0

Incorrect power supply!! W510 was in such good condition, I just purchased the correct power supply. Not in stock @ Newegg at the time ; No fingerprint reader( don't use one anyway)

Good laptop for the price, BUT...

This is a great laptop for the price, and at 15% you really can't go wrong for $300 out the door, despite a couple hiccups.

Purchased this to replace my old T400s which has gotten on in years ; Machine arrived in good condition within two days, the trackpad, buttons, and keyboard all in Grade A shape. LCD display is Grade A as well, no scratches or blemishes whatsoever, and...

Unfortunately I had to knock an egg off due to the machine arriving with only one PC3-8500 2GB RAM module. Additionally, it shipped with a 90W adapter, and the machine prefers a 135W adapter. Also, it does not appear to have a fingerprint reader, which...

Buyer Beware!! Great laptop If you get the right AC adapter

Overall great laptop at a good price. Purchased after previous laptop started to smoke. Installed a SSD and the laptop screams ***Make sure to check your power manager to confirm what size adapter you get. The 135W is a very large brick compared to the...

i7 Quad-core with hyper threading ; Includes Docking station and 18 month warranty ; Download the Lenovo update tool and getting drivers becomes a simple process ; Feels robust ; Opening the laptop was simple, remove a handful screws and slide the...

Received item with 90W adapter, requires 135W adapter to run properly. Newegg on Facebook made it right though ; Laptop has a network adapter white-list so I can't use the Wireless AC network adapter I had purchased ; Heavy ; Battery protrudes out the...

Great Laptop, Awful Battery Life

Don't get this laptop if portability or battery life is what you want. Otherwise, it's pretty great overall!

I just came back from a UPS store where I shipped this product back to newegg's warehouse this morning and can not wait to write a review about this product ; I called the customer service to return it right after I receive it ; The laptop looked like...

Clean looking with a cheap SSD, cheap Memory

Difficult to tell that this is a refurb. They have done a good job the refurb. Initially all the keys were very sticky and some seemed like they were faulty. With use, however, they have loosened up and operate normally. The machine does come with...

Looks new. Clean - no dings/scratches or dents ; SSD - even a cheap one makes quite a difference in booting up ; Screen has no blemishes at all

Low end SSD ; Initially sticky keyboard, take a couple of weeks to loosen up
