Lenovo IdeaPad Z400 Touch review: A 15.6-inch budget laptop that's strong on performance and can survive some rugged handling

 

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z400 Touch may be a bit heavy on weight and light on battery life, but it manages to provide solid performance and can handle a little rough handling.

Great backlit keyboard ; Very good touchscreen ; Solid construction

Heavy ; Chintzy network connectivity options ; Poor battery life

If you tend to be rough on your gear, Lenovo’s IdeaPad Z400 is among your best choices in laptops priced $650 or less.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Z400 Touch provides a smooth Windows 8 touch experience and a huge hard drive for an affordable price, but it's not very portable.

Good performance for the price; Responsive touch screen; Large hard drive; Webcam captures bright footage
