Need for Speed: Most Wanted Benchmarked

What a rush. About seven years after the original, the publisher EA is now taking the plunge by releasing a new version of the popular Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The game was no longer produced by the initial developers, but instead by the Burnout...

All in all the hardware demands are more or less on the same level as the aforementioned Frostbite 2 competitors. It is a shame that it can occasionally come to annoying performance fluctuations regardless of the adopted hardware. Even luxury GPUs,...

Review Lenovo G780 Notebook

Wasted potential. Lenovo releases a multimedia laptop for just under 770 Euros (~$982) dubbed IdeaPad G780 (M843MGE). The case is the same as in the prior G770 range. Theoretically, the G780 sports strong components but practically, the potent hardware...

Brightness, Faster booting via EE Boot Optimizer, Face detection via VeriFace, Configuration & hardware, Input Devices, The configuration and low temperature development have to be emphasized just as much as the good battery life. The decent input...

CPU's inactive Turbo Boost, Poor contrast & viewing angles, Highly reflective screen, Wobbly casing, Quickly smudging surfaces, Fast Ethernet socket only, An optional matte screen with a higher resolution and better contrast would be great. Also,...

Must use SSD!!

I was so surprised at the performance stock with an i5 processor. It was slower than the computer it replaced. After the SSD TOP LINE PERFORMANCE!!!! I was surprised with the Samsung EVO, read great reviews but was skepical. Wow what a difference.

I was not impressed with this computer. Boot times were in the 1 min + range. Read reviews most complained about slow hard drive. I put in a Samsung SSD and wow!!!! Boots in 15 sec and rips through programs. It has the sata 3 so you get max...

The hard drive. Why Lenovo used a 5400 rpm drive is beyond me. The G series is the lowest line, so maybe they wanted to keep the benchmarks down. Buy a SSD and you will be amazed

You get what you pay for

Save up a little more and get something with a better processor. This computer works, it's not a brick or anything, but the technical issues make it extremely frustrating at times to use it. Even as I'm writing this review it's giving me problems. You...

Got it on sale ($350ish) so at least I didn't pay full price for this P O S. Keyboard has a nice feel but does seem a bit cramped

Tends to freeze on Windows 8 login screen, and the bar that should only come up if you put the cursor in the lower right corner (with the search function, settings menu, etc.) comes up at random and stubbornly will not go away. But my biggest gripe is...

Absolutely love it.

I've been using this laptop more than my $1k computer over the last month, it holds up great on its own. The graphics card is a bit on the low end so it may not run the newest AAA titles at highest settings, but it's good enough to run most anything at...

Low price for the quality ; Light ; Beautiful finish ; Great specs ; Great screen ; Responsive touchpad ; 4 USB ports, which is great for me ; Overall a great machine

Low battery life (like 2-4 hours idle) ; The hinges feel a bit flimsy. The screen wobbles a bit if moved, and the plastic feels a bit weak even though it isn't

Lenovo for The masses

I installed backtrack on it, took awhile to figure out how to boot from usb/cd. over all I cant complain for the money, its decent and it should last a tad bit.

Large screen ; Large keyboard with num pad ; lighter than previous laptop

trackpad lags ; trackpad does not respond ; you have to lift your finger off the trackpad and wait for a ; few seconds before trying to move the cursor ; windows 8

lenovo G780 Metal (59359250)

I'm a little sore about getting a DOA broken system out of the box. I'm also sore that a holiday weekend is going to basically mean that I am out the computer for a full 8 days since the initial order. It's enough to make you want to buy local. Next...

Looks good. Started up nicely, except see below

Huge star crack on the screen upon opening. Bad handling? The box looked relatively undamaged. I suspect a QA issue

Charger doesn't work

Good looking, solid feeling laptop, good price point

Charger doesn't register when plugged in. Internet shows many issues with the charger on this model, should have done more research. Will be returning

Terrible display and touchpad

I suppose if I didn't have high expectations for a machine, or even medium expectations, it'd probably be OK for a grandparent or a kid.

Not much. The keyboard was fine. The display is very large, but the displays is my biggest complaint

I'm a hardware engineer and design commercial electronics. I have some clue :). The display on this laptop was the worse display I had ever seen in my life. There was less than a zero degree viewing angle. By looking straight at an evenly colored green...
