Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14 (2019) Review: Budget laptop with premium design

Lenovo is best known for its legendary business notebooks, but the company also offers a number of more casual devices for consumers with modest needs and budgets. One of the newest models among these more modest offerings is the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14...

Premium design despite low cost ; Crisp display and solid keyboard ; Fast-charging support and USB-C ; Flexibility of a Yoga laptop ; Fingerprint sensor and webcam shutter

It's a bit heavy for commuters ; Screen is a bit dim at 250 nits ; Doesn't use USB-C charger

Lenovo Flex 2 Review

It's hard to make a desktop-replacement laptop standout in a market dominated by gaming rigs, Ultrabooks, and 2-in-1s. But that hasn't stopped the Lenovo Flex 2 15. Its 300-degree hinge stands out, but does this machine have more to offer?

Great value, considering price and processing power ; Large and comfortable keyboard ; Responsive trackpad

Display lid flimsy ; Stand mode just about useless ; Glossy display ; The Lenovo Flex 2 15 is a moderately priced desktop replacement that offers great value to those with average computing needs.

Lenovo Ideapad Flex 2 59-420166 Review

The Flex 2 may lack the Yoga's hinge and the gorgeous display, but it more than makes up for that with its excellent performance and value, enough to earn this device a Best Buy from our test labs. But that's not all it takes. Read on to find out.

Dedicated GPU ; Comfortable keyboard ; Temperatures in check

Best pick at the time of purchase

I plan to reset the laptop as a final troubleshoot after classes end. If it fixes the problem i will correct this review.

I love everything about it so far besides one important issue. I bought this laptop for 800$ (it was on sale). I love newegg and i like lenovo. Almost a year ago I did my research and chose this laptop and i do not regret it.

I am a student. For me this means flash websites for things like connectmath.com a online resource for my instructor to give us math problems. I also use skype alot. I own 2 PC's and only on the laptop i can't use connectmath and skype crashes a ton. i...

Wouldn't buy again

All of the negatives are forgiveable except for the first two. I feel like I'm fighting the laptop to do what I want it to do -- the trackpad keeps on interpretting my clicks as "move cursor and then click". Despite Lenovo's PR, mine came with...

All-in-one body ; Good screen

Trackpad is terrible ; Came with superfish malware pre-installed ; Lots of Lenovo bloatware installed ; No TPM (for Bitlocker, if you upgrade to Windows 8.1 pro)
