Bad Design

My sister bought this based on my recommendation and brought it to me 9 months later with broken hinge. I repair a lot of laptops but I could not believe what I saw. Lenovo really shot themselves in the foot with this one. I will never recommend them...

Good processor and memory power for the money

Terrible hinge design. Just go to the Lenovo forum and search G570. Almost every owner is reporting broken hinges within 9 to 18 months. You may or may not be able to get Lenovo to repair under warranty. Even with new bottom cover and hinges it will...

Great laptop, slow/unusable website

These are great laptops, decently well built, easy to work on, fairly quick for general business, school, and office type work

Lenovo's driver website is absolutely terrible, by far one of the worst I have ever had to use. It is often down and always incredibly slow, by slow I mean it takes 10-15 minutes to get the driver page for your model up, then another 5-10 minutes to...

Very great so far

It's a Lenovo at a low price. It's nothing amazing but for the price it's eggcellent. (egcellent?) If someone asked me for an opinion buying a new laptop on a budget, this would currently be my top suggestion.

Sane keyboard, easy to pop keys off and rearrange, low cost, feels like good hardware, stays cool, runs Linux like a champ. I didn't have to fight with any drivers and had the 'just works' experience popping in the SSD from my old system

The drive that comes with it is terrible. It's a 5400 rpm drive and you get exactly what you expect from it. I didn't expect to actually use it, though, so this is a non-issue for me

Not what you would expect from Lenovo

Just to be fair, my last laptop was an IBM Thinkpad T41, which is built like a tank with a keyboard like no other on earth. Coming from that laptop to this one was a disappointment. I've only had it for a few months and the left hinge is already making...

price, keyboard feel, screen size and quality

Build Quality, small right shift key, small zero key on number key pad

Decent Product.

Meets expectations, no problem with the shipping or the purchase. Laptop came as it was promised. I am a little disappointed in how cheep the laptop feels, but it seems to run very well.

Pretty good!

This is my first Lenovo and I'm pretty impressed. For a low-end machine it works incredibly well. It's light weight, has a separate number keypad, decent graphics, and overall it works just fine. I have only 2 complaints. First, the audio is terrible....

fast processing speed, light weight, separate number pad, low price

audio quality, left-leaning mouse pad

Great Laptop!

Bought computer primarily for school/home; use it all the time. Start-up time fast, battery life long, memory great for the price. First laptop; suggested by my IT husband. Great overall computer. Would highly recommend.

great keyboard/number pad, battery life

Very Competent Computer for Everything I Do

I knew when I bought this computer that there was no reason to spend more. I don't do any gaming, nor do I use any complex spreadsheets or complex photo editing. I'm a mainstream home user who does a lot of web browsing, email usage, watching videos...

Great "Entry Level" Laptop

I really only use my laptop for my writing assignments and to check email...This laptop is perfect for that. Some back story that would be helpful: This is the 3rd laptop I have purchased in my endeavor to find a replacement for my Toshiba Satellite...

bright screen, great keypad, good "entry level" speakers, fast enough for writing & web surfing

clicking" sound from left hinge
