Review Lenovo G575 (AMD Fusion) Notebook

15 inch netbook. What is an AMD Fusion doing in a 15.6 incher? Is

Resistant surfaces; Very cool case; Low power consumption; Very good battery life; Accurate keyboard with number pad; Delivered without Windows 7

Poor application performance; Poor gaming performance; Very few connections, no HDMI; Intensely reflective display; Poor contrasts & viewing angles; Partly instable case

The fan doesn't remain permanently quiet despite low APU power consumption. It even makes a lot of noise during load.

Good laptop that is perfect for school and productivity

Great laptop. A good buy for high school or college students looking for a productivity computer. A- comp.

Excellent screen and design, the texture is great all around the laptop. Great camera too

The bezel around the 15.6 inch screen is a bit of a fingerprint magnet

lenovo G575 (4383XF1)

This laptop has been through everything. I bought it for school and it was refurbished. I didn't expect to have it long but it turned out to be exactly what I needed. On top of that less than a year after I bought it we had a house fire and this laptop...

Everything about this laptop has made me happy

I have no cons other than I can play Skyrim on it

Really not bad at all

I think it would appeal to a wider business audience if it had been bundled with Office. Since it doesn't really stand out as anything more than a basic machine, I think including an often used business app (student, homepro, whatever) would have made...

It really isn't a bad small, simple, jack-of-all trades laptop. I've had it for two years, I've dropped it, cracked the corner, hasn't stopped it and not a lot issues

I will admit the plastic casing is a bit flimsy, I have to hold the corner now when I open the lid so I don't crack the base off. It is definitely not a gaming machine and at 2 yrs has started just shutting off when it overheats and drivers are not fun...

Well made low budget laptop

I bought this for my niece who wanted a Mac instead, so I kept it as a backup. I found it to be a lot faster than I was told to expect from the E series processor it came with. This is the second one with this series processor(I have the newer E-1200...

Nice LED screen, good battery life(4 hours), faster than expected, good support from lenovo, more than enough usb ports(4)

Heavy, a little loud with the fan always on, so-so speakers

I have this model

This laptop was on special for $249, so I picked it up. 8gb of 1333mhz ram and a 60gb ssd both for $95 later it now boots and shuts down in 12 secs ea. and plays GW2 on low settings. Now the E-450 is the bottleneck which is un-upgradeable. MAKE SURE...

I bought mine for cheap, and I knew Lenovo laptops are good for modding up. APU as well

slow hd, whack ram and somehow does not know how to come back from being asleep

Atheros ruins laptops

Avoid all computers that have Atheros cards. If we all do it, they will die and boy do they deserve it

Might be OK if I could at least get on the Internet

Saw other pcs on the home network. Could not connect to the internet. Atheros network card ruins this laptop. As other posters have said. Boggles my mind that this product goes out the door with such a useless network adapter

Buggy software and drivers

I got this on black friday retail for $180. For the price, it is ok. You'd be better off with another company. Lenovo is IBM, and from my experience, they are not very good. Other versions, like here on new egg may come with two ram slots, an hdmi and...

Excellent screen. It never felt cheap, and its very, very bright. I usually have the screen on the lowest brightness setting ; A bit of hidden power. This computer was able to play fallout 3 on med, fallout new vegas on med, dragon age: Origins on max...

Buggy software and drivers. I had trouble installing the WIFI correctly. One key recovery UNFORMATTED itself out of complete random. 16GB was just sitting there, unallocated. Do not rely on it for backing up purposes, make restore dvds ASAP if you plan...

Stay Away

Cheap

I have 4 of the Lenovo G575. 2 of them died in 6 month with the same issue - defective WD 320 GB HDD manufactured in Aug/Sept 2011. The same issue reported all over Web

DAMAGED LCD, AND THEY WON'T REPLACE OR FIX

The only problem I have with this unit is a big one. The bottom corner of the screen has darkened after only a couple of days of use. I have taken very good care of this laptop, so there should be no damage to it from me. Maybe is occured during...

The negatives overshadow what I would love about this unit
