The Lenovo Flex 2's touchscreen with a 300-degree hinge is a nice feature for the price. While it delivers decent benchmark results, however, its keyboard, display, and battery life disappoint.

Good price-to-performance ratio for its display size ; DVD burner ; Operates in stand and laptop modes

Disappointing battery life ; Dim display ; Limited to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi

The Lenovo Flex 2's perks include a roomy touchscreen on a 300-degree hinge, plus a DVD burner and a hybrid hard drive, all for a reasonable price. The trade-offs: poor battery life, a dim display, and no

Lenovo Flex 2 (15-Inch)

Lenovo'a Flex 2 is a reasonably priced, capable 15-inch desktop-replacement laptop with a unique 300-degree folding display.

1080p 10-point touch screen can fold back up to 300 degrees. Strong volume from speakers. Comfortable keyboard with numeric keypad

Heavy. Short battery life

The Lenovo Flex 2 (15-inch) ($679.99, as tested) is a desktop-replacement laptop in every sense of the word. It is large, with a 15.6-inch touch screen, and offers plenty of connectivity and entertainment features, including a DVD drive. Due to its...

Lenovo Flex 2 15 review

Lenovo's Flex 2 15 is a fundamentally solid notebook with a 1080p touchscreen.

Enjoyable keyboard ; 1080p at a low price ; Solid processor and storage performance ; More portable than most affordable 15-inchers ; Good value

Bland aesthetics ; Finicky touchpad ; Lackluster connectivity

No one should buy the Lenovo Flex 2 15 because of its trick hinge. Yes, getting the keyboard out of the touchscreen’s way can be useful, but it’s a minor convenience we think many owners will try once and promptly forget about. Windows 8.1 isn’t a...

Lenovo Flex 2 15 review

Lenovo's budget laptop falls apart at the seams

Sharp, colorful display ; Decent speakers

Cheaper design ; Squishy inputs ; Excessive screen glare ; Heavy on bloatware

As a budget machine, the Lenovo Flex 2 15 offers some very big pluses where many others falter. Users won't find many other $700 transforming notebook options, let alone ones with a 1080p screen. The Acer Aspire R7 comes closest with it's head turning...

Lenovo Flex 2 15 (59418262)

All-in-all, it's a great buy.

Surprisingly fast, it can keep up with a few of the games I play on pretty high settings ; Touch screen is super handy at times ; Stand" mode is handy when only wanting the touch screen aspect ; Lightweight build

Keyboard feels a bit cheep ; Touchpad mouse will occasionally just stop working.. I've noticed it happens a lot when unlocking the computer only using the touchscreen options ; Personal cons ; Mousepad buttons aren't separate. The mouse can still move...

Great laptop for the price

The protection plan with New Egg is cheaper than with Best Buy than getting a computer with New Egg is definitely a plus. However, Best Buy will replace your battery at any time with their plan and as far as I know (check with an employee) New Egg does...

The computer is fast and starts up quickly. Has a Full HD screen (1920X1080). It is thin and has a touchscreen. It also can have up to 7 hours of battery life (based on your settings) For a college student long battery life is a must have. The computer...

the dual mode - laptop to tablet and back- let me down. the screen does not fold back 360 degrees and so it is difficult to use it as a tablet at the angle it can fold down to (300 degrees). the angle of which you have to use the tablet function is...

Excellent price for the features, and decent performance for a office/home use. The display is very good, and the touch screen is responsive

None so far

Good option for basic games and Windows 8

Great option for how cheap it is. Could easily and cheaply add another stick of ram to bump it up to 8GB and could swap the hard drive for a full solid state if you need the increased speed. There isn't too much bloatware, enough that you notice it,...

Good value for your money ; Screen resolution is nice, touch screen sensitivity is great, Windows 8.1 seems to work quite well on here. The flip to stand mode is a very nice feature and it feels solid, I am not worried that I will break it by flipping...

The battery life when running on high performance is around an hour. I get around 3 hrs on balanced and 6.5 on power saver. Since it is an internal battery, upgrading it is not very plausible ; The screen doesn't seem to get as bright as my other...

Lenovo Flex

All around NICE unit ,hope durability is also long lived

Fast boot time ,smooth operation, pretty good battery life. The back folding of the screen fits my needs and is a smart innovation,it sits well on your lap.The light weight is also a nice feature.the touch screenwriters well as does the keyboard

The Windows 8'1 is new to me and I can not really say much about it

Good Laptop, Stand Mode is more useful than you think!

Good laptop. This is my first taste of Lenovo quality and I'm satisfied. Only reason not a 5 is because of the wifi card

So, the laptop works well overall - so far no major problems with mundane tasks. Hybrid SSD seems to make things a bit snappier, memory is enough for all the tasks you should expect to be doing on this computer (browsing, word processing, low-intensity...

Some parts of the body feel a little dangerous. The plastic hood on the screen feels less strong than I would hope at its seams, and the hinge (while still exceptional in its function) also seems that way. However, nothing that feels flimsy to me has...
