Review Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 Netbook

Stylish Appearance. How does Lenovo's Pine Trail netbook distingu ...

Stable case ; High-end looks ; Long battery life ; Quiet and cool

Yielding keyboard ; Not AR coated ; Low application performance

How manufacturers manage to sell overall high-end materials and solid constructions in the lowest price classes. We wouldn't have expected that two years ago

Useful utility software ; Excellent keyboard

Sluggish performer ; Pricey; no productivity software

Superior input ergonomics will sell this comparatively overpriced netbook.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3

While this machine offers the best keyboard on any netbook and a great instant-on OS, its touchpad is a bit finicky.

Lenovo did a lot of things right with the S10-3. Its design and keyboard are much improved over the previous generation, the speakers are positively booming (for a netbook), and its instant-on environment is easily the most attractive among netbooks....

Lenovo Ideapad S10-3

The IdeaPad S10-3 has an underwhelming feature set. It doesn't offer high resolution displays and HD decoder chips like the HP 5102 and the Dell Mini 10s. In fact, it's not very configurable at all. Though it hasn't announced any plans to include a 3G...

Full size keyboard. Attractive designs. Very light chassis, even with the 6-cell battery. Inexpensive

Irritating navigating experience. Small hard drive. Not very configurable

The Lenovo ThinkPad S10-3 is one of the few 10-inch netbooks that can pull-off a full size keyboard, but it sacrificed the touchpad in the process.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3

Good looks, a standout keyboard, and a competitive price make this netbook worth a look, despite its troublesome touch pad.

Winning design; acceptable performance for the price; excellent keyboard; powerful speakers

Mediocre battery life; problematic touch-pad design; streaming video stutters

Double your display real estate by adding a second monitor. It's a snap: Here's how

Lenovo S10-3 Review

The Lenovo S10-3 is a great improvement over the S10-2 in regards to both the design and the functionality of the keyboard. The built in Quick Start function and terrific Veriface software strike high notes for it's built in software. Sadly, the key...

Terrific design, Great keyboard (98% full size), Excellent bundled software

Small Touchpad

Overall I think the Lenovo S10-3 does a few things wonderfully for $350: the keyboard, design (except the touchpad), built in software and solid build quality. If you plan to use the netbook with a mouse frequently then you will love this netbook. If...

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 review

The netbook is thin and light, and comes with a choice of a black or red cover featuring a textured, fingerprint-resistant cover. But in order to keep the laptop as small as possible while providing a nearly full sized keyboard, Lenovo chose to build...

Nice Netbook; shame about the screen resolution!

Its a potentially nice product with good performance; but screen and trackpad let it down.

Light weight ; Fair Battery life of 5 hours ; 2Gb RAM and 320 GB Hard drive ; Bright screen ; good keyboard

The screen resolution at 1024 x 600 Is just not enough. Why do manufacturers insist on a widescreen format which is too Narrow 600 px to display some video formats ; The track pad is pretty well useless; I have to use a mouse ; The Quick OS for access to

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 is a good basic net-book.

I love my Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3. I don't leave home without it. I've had lots of net-books and this is my favorite one and would buy another one without a doubt.

Doesn't get very hot like other net-books and has a very spaced out keyboard that I'm typing this review on now. Unlike other net-books the Lenovo has a get feel to it and has a great display

The touch pad is awful. Have to use a cordless mouse and has the slow 1.66 Intel Atom processor with 1 GB of RAM. Not much different than other net-books. 2 GB is a must upgrade. Speakers are too small even for a net-book

defects on the screen / bad customer service attention

I got the S10-3 on Dec 2010 and two months latter my daugther was doing some homework and suddenly two black spots appeared on the screen. When I sent it to customer service for a repairment (thinking that the guarranty will cover the repair), the...

keyboard feeling is the only pro I see

the screen is really bad and customer service people do not listen
