Review Lenovo IdeaPad S210 Touch 20257 Notebook

Small, handy, whisper-quiet. Lenovo wants to make a small subnote

24 months warranty; Whisper-quiet operation; Small and handy

Battery runtimes could be longer; Low-contrast display with blue cast

Lenovo gives the small IdeaPad a 24-month warranty. This is very uncommon for the low price segment.

Lenovo S210 Touch Review

The Lenovo S210 Touch is a great laptop. It's well-designed, adequately powered and has a very responsive touch screen. If only it had better battery life and, more importantly, a responsive keyboard, this could have been a great laptop, one that we...

Great touchscreen, Excellent touchpad, Well-designed

Low battery life, Disappointing keyboard

s210 TOUCH 59RF0691

I Would not buy another computer unless I could do most of the repair UEFI seems to be a major problem.

Works ok most of time

I RMAed Newegg concerning its Seagate Hard Drive for excessive error writing and it was sent back indicating its ok. Hard drive has 100,000+error numbers in ; S.M.A.R.T. Wrote Tom’s Hardware and they said I needed to replace drive. I made a Recovery...

Great portable laptop

Really happy with this purchase.

1. Touch Screen- I really liked this feature. It works really well. Civilization 5 is a great way to explore the touchscreen as well ; 2. Windows 8- I like the look and the feel of it ; 3. Can run some games- Fallout NV can run on here as well as...

Runs hot on some games (as expected, this isn't designed for gaming) ; The upgrade to 8.1 took away some programs for some reason. I don't know the fix for this

Defective HDD, RMA

Asked for an exchange in RMA. Other than HDD, a great notebook!

Like windows 8.1, lightweight and easy mobility, almost as light as some tablets. I am use to Windows 7 so an easy move to 8.1. Like the touchscreen

Hard drive was defective. According to HD disk sentinel there were 8 bad sectors a few days after start using it. Tested also with HDTune Pro and S.M.A.R.T. indicated problems with relocation of files. Seagate Sea Tool gave the Short Test a Fail....

Great but a few problems

This is a nice laptop and for the price its great. The quality of the screen is also a good one-up The touchscreen is very smooth with not much friction.

Very zippy and has a a lot of potential haven't tried any emulator benchmarks but as i said its fast and VERY VERY sturdy. a well built machine

battery life is kinda weeksuace it only lasts for 1 to 2 hours long which inst that bad but still should last longer

Nice little Touch Netbook

Basic info for uEFI install from USB drive: Installing Windows to a GPT-partitioned drive:. For example only your drives may differ: D: = Windows Media E: = 4GB+ USB Drive 1. Format a USB stick (at least 4GB free space) using FAT32 (NTFS will not...

Touch Screen, Small, Quick, As always great keyboard!, Touchpad & buttons are awesome... unlike the newer ThinkPad's in this price range this has a PC touchpad and buttons not stupid APPLE touchpad buttons combo.............. hate them... useless

Only con is the uEFI system if you install a new SSD drive (you void the warranty…) and you have to build a special USB load of Windows 8 / 8.1. The standard Windows 8 USB install configuration will not work… after googling the problem, it works great

Lenovo S210-59409865

I bought the Lenovo while my 15” Vaio was being repaired. However, the Lenovo is now my computer of choice to take out ; I have the benefit of less weight and size while my concern that the screen would be too small for the type of work I do was...

The keyboard is a little less tactile and more cramped than I am used to but perfectly usable ; The worst thing on the machine Windows 8 which I removed in favour of a Linux operating system ; Perhaps a choice of operating systems would be a good thing
