Just in case it had slipped your mind, now is a pretty great time to be looking for a computer. Take this IdeaPad U150 from Lenovo which just started shipping, for instance. For $699 you can get a CULV processor, 3GB of RAM and a 250GB HDD stuffed ...

Lenovo IdeaPad U150

With the IdeaPad U150, Lenovo continues stepping gradually from the bookish land of ThinkPads into the world of cool ultraportables. Weighing less than 3 pounds, and stylish to boot, the U150 is an eye-catching little thing. Performance is right...

Great looks ; Reasonable performance

Unsuitable for gaming ; Keyboard feels very cheap

A nice looking-machine that sits in the dead center of our performance benchmarks.

Review: Lenovo IdeaPad U150

If you live in a world where looks don't matter but performance does, then the U150 might be for you.

Very good battery life (over 4 hours). Feels sturdy. Includes all the latest bells and whistles, with LED backlighting, Dolby audio and multitouch trackpad (that actually works). WWAN option

One of the least attractive laptops on the market today. Expensive, especially considering it lacks the ThinkPad brand name. Keyboard is nearly illegible

Lenovo Ideapad U150 thin and light notebook review

There are a lot of things to like about the IdeaPad U150. It has an distinctive textured lid, an attractive two-tone keyboard, and a combo eSATA/USB port, which is something you won't find on a lot of ultraportable laptops. But there are a few down...

Pretty good!

Very happy with the netbook. It's very good looking and satisfactory performance for a netbook. Keyboard is comfortable and better than comparable netbooks. This is my 3rd netbook after an Asus and Samsung and I am not going back.

Slick look, comfortable keyboard, excellent screen, HDMI out, eSATA is definitely a big plus. It's not glossy so it stays clean. Decent battery life, 64 bit compatible and very good performance compared to other netbooks
