Lenovo IdeaPad U350 (Core 2 Solo SU3500 1.4GHz, 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Vista Home Premium 64-Bit)

By (cnet.com)

Very stylish design, loud speakers, lightweight and affordable

Underpowered ULV processor, mediocre battery life

If you're searching for a great-looking thin-and-light laptop at a good price, the Lenovo IdeaPad U350 bridges the gap between personal and professional and is worth checking out. But its design is more successful than its horsepower.

Attractive textured design. Very thin and light. Fantastic keyboard and navigating experience. Inexpensive

Ultra-low voltage processor can be slow at times. 41-Wh battery is not big enough. No optical drive

The Lenovo IdeaPad U350 is cheap, light, and well designed, but don't expect anything amazing from the ultra-low voltage processor and small battery.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U350 ($650 direct) is the latest to join the CULV family...

Neat little machine

By JD (newegg.com)

Overall it's worth every penny. Fits into a girl's handbag really well. Wiped Windows Vista off the machine the minute I got it; Windows 7 found most drivers, and you get the rest from Lenovo.

This is a great machine ; given its small size and what it's trying to do, it does it well. You use a toaster for breakfast and an oven for dinner, so this machine is great at doing the light computing stuff that most people do. I bought one for a girlfri...

Could really benefit from having a SSD drive, but that would drive up the cost significantly

Awesome Notebook!!!

By jml (newegg.com)

This notebook is great for my needs of using the internet, watching movies & Office 2007. Price point is great for those who are willig to spend a little bit more on a full blown notebook. The design is very nice and this notebook stands out against Acer...

Design, weight and display is great. Battery life is very good. Memory is DDR3 and a larger hard drive. Runs nice on Windows 7 and much better than Vista

Bloatware but just uninstall them. No optical drive and that should not be a deal breaker. Either buy an external one or use a USB flash drive. Most software is downloaded anyways
