Great laptop for the price

I haven't seen any user reviews for this laptop yet, so I decided to share what I've learned through research, etc. I ordered the following system through the Lenovo site for $869 (limited time offer through AmEx - ends April 1). After agonizing over...

Fast processor ; Discrete graphics ; Lots of RAM

Low screen resolution (1366x768) w/ no other options ; Sandy Bridge processor recall (hopefully fixed in new machines) ; Limited battery life

Excellent value for the hardware

When I saw the specs for the laptop online ([...]) I was particularly impressed by the low price point for an i7 processor (i7 2630qm @ 2Ghz per core) equipped unit.

This is a really great computer to buy. I've used it for hours and it still stays cool. The trackpad has a nice feel to it. The hardware is good enough to play all my games without lagging. Wifi connectivity is excellent. I love the touchsmart pad and...

Good laptop but refub essentially

Basically this model is the same one as the previous but they had done a recall so they updated the processor. The screen feels flimsy and doesn't close tight (if you press on the back part, it slightly opens).
