Lenovo S21e-20

The Lenovo 21e-20 is a solid budget ultraportable laptop, but its middling performance and battery life in our tests mean that it's best suited to those with very modest computing needs.

Budget-friendly price. Thin and light. Solid chassis. Keyboard is comfortable to use.

Keyboard and touchpad are a little small. Below par performance and battery life compared with the competition.

Conclusion The Lenovo S21e-20 is a decent ultraportable budget laptop, with a fair share of storage, and it runs smoothly if you're not using intensive applications like Adobe Photoshop. If you're a student with modest computing needs—like writing...

Lenovo S21e review: For those on the tightest of budgets, there's this sub-$200 laptop

This machine is priced bargain-basement cheap ; Responsive and precise trackpad makes up for small size

Only 64GB of storage—and it's an eMMC ; Performance falls on the lower end of the spectrum

Lenovo's S21e is more of a large netbook than a small laptop—but it also retails for under $200. Now we're talking bargains.

Lenovo S21e-20

Professional-looking design; Accurate display ; Short battery life; Finicky touchpad ; The $269 Lenovo S21e is a fairly capable budget notebook you can take anywhere, but its short battery life and wonky touchpad hold it back.

Lenovo S21e Review: Good Enough Only At the Right Price

This budget laptop might not belong at the head of its class, but the Lenovo S21e Windows notebook is still reliable and affordable. Read on to see if that's enough.

Decent mobile design ; Price potentially right (if you shop around)

Frustrating, shallow keyboard ; Insufficient battery life ; Price potentially too high (if you don't shop around) ; The Lenovo S21e is an acceptable to decent companion device with good-enough processing power. Get it for the right price and you'll be...

Lenovo S21e-20 laptop — three things to know

Regret never getting in on the netbook craze? Lenovo 's new S21e will solve that woe, as it is essentially a high-end netbook with a low price tag and svelte design. Lenovo lumps it in with its back-to-school offerings, and its' $219 USD price tag puts...

Lenovo S21e-20 Review – an ultrabook with a crazy bezel

At one time netbooks were all the rage, and though that trend has simmered down, the options for inexpensive and relatively low powered machines are as expansive as ever. Chromebooks largely fill the void left behind by netbooks, but if Chrome OS isn't...

With the Lenovo S21e, you need to be sure your biggest requirement in a laptop is a small size and a small price tag. If both of those things matter most, any other complaints about the system will fall to the wayside, as you’ll understand that with...

Lenovo S21e-20 80M4004MGE Subnotebook Review

200 Euros (~$221). How much Windows do you get for this price? This 11-inch device proudly runs Windows 10 Home 64-bit. However, there are certain drawbacks, such as, a bad keyboard and a weak chassis.

Low weight., Quiet but not silent., Decent performance

Weak chassis., Keys have poor feedback., Bad webcam., Limited battery life., Small storage space

Higher-priced convertibles are very much in demand, but there are still customers wanting a simple and cheap Windows subnotebook in a clamshell format. The Lenovo S21e-20 is available at a low price, but it is not the best choice in all categories.

Lenovo S21e review: For those on the tightest of budgets, there's this sub-$200 laptop

I must admit--looking at the Lenovo S21e triggers a small bit of nostalgia in me. Nostalgia for a time when laptop manufacturers were seemingly obsessed with miniaturizing laptops. A time of pre-iPad, pre-ultrabook. A time when netbooks reigned supreme.

Netbooks fell out of fashion for a reason--there's only so much you can do with them, and there are better-performing laptops on the market now that are just as portable, to say nothing of tablets or hybrid tablet/laptop designs.

Great modern netbook

I too burned myself by jumping into a clean windows 10 install. Dont do this. I had to return the first laptop to the brick and mortar where I bought it (after research, calls to microsoft and lenovo, because of course I nuked the recovery partition...

Great matte screen, all the modern conveniences, 1xusb 3,1xusb2, hdmi out. Battery seems to last a long time (5 hours or so). Lightweight, stylish looking, super portable, and I find the 11.6 screen comfortable size, was worried its too small but after...

Neither ram nor storage is upgrade-able, which I knew going into it and am not too worried about, would have been nice if it were though. Does have a micro sd slot.
