Review Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E130 NZUAXMB Notebook

Yet another bullseye. The compact, portable ThinkPad Edge E130 sports a Core i3 processor and a matte 11.6-inch screen, that is combined with a high-capacity battery. All the ingredients needed for a mobile work laptop are available. Our test reveals...

Quiet operation ; Good application performance. ; Swift hard drive ; Good battery life ; Decent keyboard ; Empty mSATA slot

Inferior screen ; 12 month warranty only

It is inconceivable that Lenovo equips a laptop meant for mobile use with a screen that is hardly suitable for outdoor use

Review Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E130 NZU5FGE Subnotebook

Bullseye. Lenovo makes a good throw with its Edge 130: stable, very good inputs, long battery runtime, upgradeable and good performance. The bundle is available for 375 Euros (~$488) without Windows. Will we discover any disadvantages whatsoever? ...

Very rigid lid ; Matte, non-slip surfaces ; Dual-Pointing like in the big ThinkPads ; Keyboard's feedback ; Long battery life ; USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0 ; Easy to upgrade ; Low system noise / waste heat ; Admin and security software ; Fast hard disk

TFT could be brighter for daylight use ; Weak contrasts ; Webcam cannot cope with a lot of light

A brighter screen so that we can browse on the Internet again next summer. More performance with a SSD? It would almost be presumptuous to ask for this in view of the price
