Review Lenovo Thinkpad L412 Notebook

A Unique Specimen.The L-series is a brand-new addition to the Len

Well-designed Thinkpad work area; User-friendly input devices; Thinvantage software; Display suitable for outdoor use; Low noise and heat emissions; Usable battery life

Small weak spots around case; Positioning of ports around device; Many purchase configurations not yet available in Europe; Basic 12 month warranty; Limited performance

The Intel Core i3-330M and GMA HD Graphics in combination: a bit more power on tap would have been nice.

Lenovo ThinkPad L412 review

The professional-looking Lenovo ThinkPad L412 has a decent screen and speakers, and its low starting price makes it an ideal choice for the eco-conscious businessperson.

The Lenovo ThinkPad L412's only real drawback appears to be the keyboard, which is so loud that you should really think twice about toting this laptop to conferences and meetings. Other than that annoyance, however, the L412 delivers- it's quick,...

Mediocre glitchy machine frustrates experienced users

Out of the box the machine worked fine but needed too much online checking and updating before everything was up to date - for something that was built only one week before delivery that's very poor, and if you were not an experienced user you may have...

Reliable Thinkpad legacy, anti-glare screen, stable...

Overall it is a good laptop. I use it for home office/school/small business. At least 3GB would be nice, but being that DDR3 is still very expensive I can understand that this would probable raise the selling price. It runs very quiet and is stable.

Windows 7 Professional, clean simple style not flashy, many ports, easy access to RAM and hard drive, webcam, matte screen (anti-glare), (((((wifi))))))) & bluetooth, Thinkvantage maintenance software (debatable I guess), best of all it's a Thinkpad

only 2GB of RAM, unstable trackpad at times, no recovery CD/DVD included (you have to create your own from the recovery partition on the hard drive - common nowadays)

Good price Bad battery

It should be basic to ensure a fresh battery is included or at least provide a disclaimer. Year on battery was June 2010.
