Lenovo ThinkPad SL410 Review

Lenovo ThinkPad series notebooks have been the leader of business laptop filed. The latest released ThinkPad SL410/SL510 notebooks have not many changes in the appearance, not subversive product design either. Yes, but as always, it is still the solid...

Finally, take a look at this ThinkPad SL410 battery design. We find it particularly easy to remove the battery; unlike some notebooks, it may take a big effort to remove battery. Buckle is set above the battery itself, using a single buckle in the...

good machines on the 2nd round

for $38 add the 8gb and these things rock!!

Light wieght solid thinkpad construction ; Screen is way ahead of it's time in brightness and contrast ratio. Battery life is good

First batch I ordered were scratched and dinged up like they were from neighborhood pawn shop. New egg replaced them with grade A units. Whole process took 17 days and was frustrating, but now they are shinning in a repair shop environment working all...

Great Laptop

Love this laptop. Great ThinkPad keybaord. Eraserhead or "TouchPoint" is so useful because you don't have to keep swiping your finger to move across page. The touchpad is one of the best I have used as well. Upgrading to 8 GB Ram is around $50. Solid...

Not an i3 or i5 but runs cool and fast

Great laptop, at any price!

I added 2GB of G.Skill RAM before first power-on. Very easy to do.

This is a great laptop for the price, this would be a great laptop even if it cost much more. Durable build, nice quality feel to keyboard, buttons, screen hinges. I love the trackpad, mousepad area. Not too much bloatware and the ThinkVantage...

Could weigh a touch less. Would like to have a little more resolution, but this may be common for all 14" screens. Might have rather had a non-glossy screen, but it does look nice in all but high glare situations. Case does show fingerprints. ...

IBM LENOVO SL410 BEST LAPTOP I HAVE USED YET

Add an additional 2gb ram and make sure Win 7 pro 64-bit for full utilization of the laptops capability.

I bought this laptop 11 months ago now, just after i started my new job. I use this laptop for both work and personal use and I love it. Core 2 Duo @ 2.2Ghz, 4gb 1066mhz ram after adding a kingston 2gb, the hard drive is slower than i want because i...

5400 rpm hard drive - not really a con for the price but 7200 rpm is my standard because I game

thinkpad

I got this laptop for my girlfriend's mom because she is good at breaking things and is extremely picky about ergonomics and typing, Thinkpads are the only laptops that I have ever used that have a keyboard that feels like a real keyboard. And amazing...

Traditional thinkpad build quality, steel wide set hinges, solid keyboard, real hard buttons for all of your normal functions. Track pad is solid to the touch and is set correctly so that you don't accidentally touch it while typing. Very little bloat...

back of lcd is plastic not metal, not really a con but I am use to x&t series original IBM think pads

Good laptop

Purchased this since my HP Pavilion started to experiencing hardware issues, which was quite irritating considering that I bare used it during the 4 years ownership. This SL410 is far superior at 1/2 the price, especially when it comes to cooling, the...

Core 2 DUO, bright screen, battery life, superior cooling (very quiet), rugged design, two-prong charger, good video acceleration, perfect size

LCD noise with brightness between 4-10 when charging (background noise), but brightness 0-3 is sufficient for most use, 11-15 levels are too bright. It also wouldn't hurt to purchase another gig of RAM for $30

Good Machine for the money

I will be purchasing another one also.

Amazing Keyboard, Beauty of a screen, Solid design, COST(+4 eggs) ; Closer to original thinkpad designs than the ideapad line.(+1)

Too much crapware and not enough ram(2G) in my opinion. (- 1) ; The screen protection cage(roll cage) is plastice not magnesium, no deduction due to price as this is not a T-series

Great laptop especially @ around 600 bucks

Very sturdy. Fast. Windows 7 pro. quality is nothing less then what you would expect from lenovo/IBM. If you need an affordable business class laptop then look no further. Great laptop overall

The touch pad can be a little awkward at times but it does the job. and 5400 rpm hard drive out of the box. Ehhh not really cons but yea
