We proclaimed the ThinkPad T41p as the best notebook we'd ever seen when we reviewed it. Can the T42p follow in its footsteps?

The IBM ThinkPad T42p is a fantastic notebook to use; the screen is superb and the keyboard is up to IBM’s usual high standards. Add to this the biometric security, the data encryption and IBM’s standard Rapid Restore and Recovery low level utilities....

IBM ThinkPad T42p - Preview

 

IBM has just announced its T42 range of notebooks. Although production models aren't yet available, IBM gave us an early T42p sample to cast our eye over.

Some people may think that such a high resolution on a 15in screen will make everything too small, but I have to say that this is one of the best notebook displays I have ever used. Yes, the icons are a bit smaller than on a 1,400 x 1,050 screen, but...
