Review Update Lenovo ThinkPad T430s Notebook

More power! Having already taken a close look at the cheap US version of the ThinkPad T430s, we now turn to the high end configuration with a Core i7 processor and a 180 GB SSD. Can Lenovo justify a price of over 1700 Euros (~$2200) for its business...

Excellent wormanship and stability, Excellent input devices, Strong application performance, High mobility, Extensive connectivity options, 3 year warranty, The T430s combines strong performance hardware with high mobility and solid workmanship....

Dissapointing TN panel, Very loud DVD drive, Weak speakers, High price, You can search for weaknesses if you want: but it will be difficult to find any serious problems with the ThinkPad. Lenovo could optimize the fan control and install a better...

Lenovo ThinkPad T430 Review: The Best Just Got Worse

The ThinkPad T430 is still "the king of 14-inch business notebooks" but the keyboard might not be changing for the better.

Great keyboard (see cons) ; 15 hour battery life with 9-cell ; Excellent build quality ; Input/output port variety

Non-standard keyboard layout ; Poor 1366x768 screen

The ThinkPad T430 generally remains the king of 14-inch business notebooks though I have a few reservations. Bad news first: the base 1366×768 screen has too little resolution to get quality multitasking work done if you work with spreadsheets or...

Better Than Advertised

I purchased this with the expectation that it would have the 1366x768 resolution, which I was planning to replace with the larger 1600x900 screen part. I was happy to learn that the latter screen was already installed. The refurbishing job done to this...

>1600x900 screen instead of 1366x768 >Near-perfect refurb condition. >New battery. >Light-Up Keyboard.

>Minor scuffs on outside lid (not a big deal). >Box was poorly taped when I received the package.

Great purchase

For the price, you can't get a better laptop. The fact that I got a 1600x900 screen instead of the 1366x768 and a backlit keyboard really sweetened the deal. YMMV though

-Came with 1600x900 resolution screen instead. (Huge) -Came with backlit keyboard -No fan issues -Came in 9/10 condition, relatively clean for a refurb.

-Minor imperfections on the lid -I upgraded the 500GB hard disk to a 250GB 850 EVO SSD, however the screw that removes the hard disk cover was defective. I had to force it out.
