Do I have to be satisfied with my "early adopter" woes? A good question, though one can only hope at the least that all of these bugs will be patched via updates. All in all, an early purchase of such a notebook will be something that I will have to...

Review Lenovo Thinkpad W510 4319-29G Notebook

Workstation in 15 inches. When searching for an efficient laptop

Very good performance; Classic Thinkpad design; ThinkVantage tools; Comprehensive communication configuration; Good input devices

Temperature development; Short battery life; Performance loss in battery mode (high-performance profile)

The courage to stick to the tried and tested, and stay up-to-date in terms of technology, anyway.

Review Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 Notebook

Brilliant Prospects? Security, productivity but also multimedia i

Good input devices; Display lid and keyboard bezel of metal; Simple and stable design; Unobtrusive and cool

Keyboards yields strongly in two places and creaks; Average display, reflective in a few models; No UltraBay, no docking port

If the ThinkPad's design is too simple for you but you don't want to forgo on metal, you'll find Sony's Vaio BZ26. Smart spenders will be well-served with Acer's Extensa 5230E. A better graphic card and a more eye-catching design are found in the MacBook.

Lenovo ThinkPad W510

Sometimes size does matter. You'd never describe Lenovo's Thinkpad W510 as "thin and light." It's a bulky, heavy beast--a laptop with a 15.6-inch, LED backlit display that weighs as much as some 17-inch laptops. What you get with that bulk is a...

Auto color calibration for workstation graphics ; Excellent CPU performance for a laptop

Touch interface is wonky and difficult to use ; Surprisingly poor 3D performance

Lenovo's 15.4-inch workstation-class laptop offers excellent an CPU and a good display, but the Windows 7 touch interface and 3D performance aren't great.

Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 Review

When most people think of the Lenovo ThinkPad brand, they think of the T-series notebook with the alloy unibody chassis, rubberized black paint, and boxy looks. What most people don't realize is Lenovo offers a small business line, called the...

Good keyboard ; Good build quality ; Low starting price for a ThinkPad

Few power-saving screen options ; High power consumption

The Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 proved to be a reasonable compromise between price and quality. While it doesn't offer the nicer touchpad or rugged build quality of the T-series, it retails for almost half the starting price. The SL-series is a good option...

Lenovo ThinkPad SL510

This sturdy and comfortable small business notebook performs well, and offers smart tools to protect your data.

The Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 is a solid notebook for business users. While it may be too bulky for road warriors (the 14-inch SL410 is a better choice for that crowd), this system is a good solution for workers looking for a sturdy laptop to use in and...

Lenovo ThinkPad SL510

In many ways the Lenovo ThinkPad is the Model T of laptop computers. You can have any color you want, as long as that color is black and they pretty much all look and act the same. This lack of choice isn't so bad with systems like the new SL510 ($889...

Multitouch trackpad. Comprehensive feature set

On the heavy side. Resolution tops out at 1,366-by-768

Lenovo's new small business laptop, the ThinkPad SL510, is a no-frills business system that gets the job done but not much more.
